Commercial Plant Substrates

I am in the midst of setting up a 90 gallon planted discus biotope. I plan on using a commercial plant substrate for the middle layer (nutrient/mineral bed).

I am leaning towards Seachem's Flourite and Carib Sea's Eco-Complete. Ideally, I would like to use both to offer the plants a more diverse nutrient selection.

Is there anyone that have used these products? If so, what were the results?

Any feedback or opinions would be appreciated.

I have used both (although not together), and am very happy with both products (the new Flourite Black and Flourite Dark look great)....plant growth was excellent with both products (combined with lots of light and CO2). In the tanks that I have used these, I have used them as the only substrate, or with a very light top layer of pea gravel.
