feeding and moving

Hi,

I'm moving about 10min away from where I live now. I know that your supposed to not feed your fish prior to the move. Considering that the move is short should I still not feed them?

I would probably still not feed them 1-2 days before the move, as it would still probably take some time to set up the tank again. With moves you never know...

If you've ever bagged your fish to move them , you'll notice they crap a lot lol. Once you start stressing them by netting them and confining them they seem to want to empty their insides of stuff that may slow down their "flight or fight" . The problem arises when this gets the water polluted and ammonia builds fast. If they need to stay in this small amount of water they can suffer from ammonia burn etc. By not feeding them 2-3 days prior to the move you help extend the time you have between tanks.
