JohnRosario
Hello I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on fertilizers. I am currently using the Tropica Aqua Care Fert. I have a 46 Gallon planted tank. Thanks John
werner
The cheapest and most customizable way is to go is to buy KNO3, KH2PO4, K2SO4 from a hydroponics store, and MgSO4+7H2O (epsom salts) from the drugstore. You can then mix your own liquid fertilizer or add them to the tank dry. You can also add a trace mix from the hydroponics store. I personally like Seachem's Fluorish line. I use their Trace and Iron in addition to my own fert mix.
firestorm
Dry ferts tend to be cheaper, so buy the ones you use most of in dry, and ones like iron I also buy seachem brand. I honestly like seachem brand over any other store bought brand. There is an estimated index at the bottom of this link you can follow for dosing instructions http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=6078
