The pic they are showing looks to be of a Protomelas taeniolatus and is commonly called the "Red Empress." Hope this helps. Jay

Jayba, thats got to be it since the first google search image of protomelas taeniotatus is the exact pic pisces has posted (haha did they steal the pic?)

Also, they do not currently look like that but are black with orange fins. Is this just because they are juvies?

I was there yesterday and they are quite young and will color up more in several months.

Here is an image of what typical juv's look like. Maybe the parents weren't pure or they have a different strain in them. Hence the reason why they were so dark to begin with.
