JSTR
First thing to remember with snowflakes is they are one of the small species, but still get just over 24inches, provided they dont go carpet surfing. What else are you thinking of adding to the tank.
easyrider
it's already pretty busy. one small volitan lion, a small niger trigger, one white damsel and a urchin. it's already borderline for size. what do you mean carpet surfing? do you have to totally seal the tank? JSTR
1. carpet surfing, eels have a tendancy to jump out of the tank. 2. 45gal is not anywhere nere big enough for a Volitan lionfish, a dwarf lion yes, but a volitan will get 16-18 inches long. 3. Urchin may become a snack for the eel depending on the size of each, but that only matters till the eel grows. 4. The nigger trigger or damsel shouldn't be a prob, but the more aggressive triggers may not be a good idea (but I never realluy looked into their compatability as I have no plans to own a trgger at this time.) The eel may work in you setup while it is small but thats only temporary. JMO
