Good Day. My name is Jamie and as the title states I'm new to this hobby. I just thought I would introduce myself on here as I am new to the Forum as well. I was able to pick up a 50 gallon second-hand so I hooked everything up, put some water and water treatment in and went down to my LFS to pick their brains. They told me about the importance of beneficial bacteria in my tank and that Nutrafin Cycle Biological Aquarium Supplement would be the best way to get the bacteria in there and not waste money on fish. So I took a bottle home and gave it a try. So far, so good. It's been 3 months since then and I watched as my Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates went through their peaks. Didn't really take that long to cycle the tank with this stuff. I quite liked it. But; I thank you for the add and I hope to learn more about this hobby from everyone on here.

I attached a picture of my tank. I don't know if it's going to show up, but; won't know unless you try right? lol.

Welcome to the hobby and have fun selecting the fish (and some plants?) for the tank and see them develop.

Thanks! I'm debating on turning this bad boy into a planted tank! I want to get me a small 20 gallon to put the fish in once it's cycled and then I can get to cleaning the gravel and putting in some substrate for plants as well. Make a 2 layer substrate. I might have to make a thread of the transformation. Then turn my little 20 gallon into a small SW Reef. I wouldn't have to worry about a sump with a tank that small and I can always make it into one when I get a bigger tank for the SW build lol. Lots of plans in the works.
