I don't know where you would get the loaches, but I could give you some Ramshorn snails.
-
Water and non perfumed bleach should do the trick.
-
Have you tried weather loaches?

the big one in your yard?
I bet rip would love that tank. is that a 230?
I have my mind on a 135 right now. And yes it is 233 gallons.
-
sorry to hear that Nick
I think breeding rip is going to be a big task.
are you picking up another mate for him in the future?
I'm not sure. If I do I will be putting them in a bigger tank.
-
I found the tank divider knocked over and Miss Lumpy lying on the bottom of the tank this morning. I guess Rip wanted his tank back as she wouldn't spawn for him.
She's the one on the right.

A pair of apistos?

I have fry every 2 weeks or so, I'm just not raising any at the time.

LOL! I did look through home depot... must have totally missed that tube all together.. but I don't need nearly that big of a tube... and I'll have to buy the applicater as well won't I? (I did search the site.. and saw that thread... but still missed the tube on the shelf!)
anyone know where I can get black vinal as well for the bakc wall>
The Weathershield is from Home Hardware, not Home Depot. For black vinyl try a sign making shop or someone like AJ Decals off the ERAS forum.

Sorry Quinn Not a vieja of any sort

Sorry guys good guesses but not those.

Bleach will evaporate on it's own, what was most likely in the tank was mineral deposit from hard water. If you want to test it fill it up and put a danio or other inexpensive fish in the tank to see how it responds.

Is this an hob or a cannister? What I can find listed as an Aquatech 200 is a cannister.
My understanding is that Regent or Penguin filters are the same though.

Very nice Jerry

Would I have any issues with using a filter on my freshwater tank that has been used on saltwater?
There should be no issues with it as long as you clean it thoroughly first.

Sam Chicklets does a great step by step training topic, try to find it
Derek
Here you go
-
I use this from Home Hardware and Building supplies
-
You can also put a sponge over the intake of your powerfilter. This method is used to keep the fry and small fish from going up the intake.
-
The chlorine in Edmonton water is not the issue, as it will evaporate. However the chloramine they use will not.
-
-
No sorry not that.
-
You can dechlorinate your drinking water as well.

Usually the cheap generic brands are the safest.
