Ok, i think this is where this topic goes. This might be a first for u guys. I was feeding my fishes when i noticed little bugs onthe top of the water and on the tank cover. There wasn't many, many like 5-6 but 3 of them were babies. They look like,.... like,.... mini mosqitoes (sp?). What i wanna know is where the hell did they come from? Outside and living in my tank?? Or what?? Any replies ASAP greatly appreciated. And yes i went and did a water change right away.

are they compatible with each other?

Hiya, I can't seem to find information on the difference between the Red Ram and the Blue Ram. All i know is that the Red is a carnivore and the blue is an omnivore. Can anyone else supply more info?? Thank you

Well thx for all the advice, i think i'm gonna go with what cichlidkid said :thumbs: But i have one last question. In the hex tank, my bristlenose is not doing it's job and eating the algae off the glass. It's starting to build-up more and more. I don't really feel like scrubbing every so often, so i was thinking about a small snail of some sorts. Riverfront said a mystery snail would be the best for me, but i've no experiance with snails. 1) good choice?? 2) compatible with cichlids mentioned above? I also currently have 2 upside down cats and of course the bristlenose Note: I have fake plants right now, real ones to go in, in about a month or so. Tons of hiding spots and caves

So i had a few questions that I was hoping could be answered.. 1) Any sites i can visit to learn about right set-ups, food, etc?? 2) i currently have a 35g hex tank, this good enough? 3) any fish recommendations?? was wondering if the following method would be a good idea. I currently have a 30g tank setup and running for almost a year. I'm about to setup a 10g. The next time i do a water change on the 30g, is it alright to put some of that water into the 10g then just top it off with tap water?? I figured this way i wouldn't have to go through the whole cycling thing with the 10g. This way i can add fish a few days later instead of like a few weeks.

my camera is messed up right now. But another way of putting it, what i shoulda said in the first palce, is that it looks like an open wound.

Picture this. WE all know what a bala looks like. Nice and silver. Seems like a part of it's skin is off like it got bitten or something. Like when we scrap our skin and all that's left is the bottom layer. Anyone know what's wrong?? or did my other bala just get too rough??

just saw a catfish kinda thing at fish store. It was called ______ Petricola. Has anyone had any experiance with these?? thx

Hiya all, Erm i'm new here so if this post is in the wrong forum plz move. TY!! Anyways, i've got a 35gallon hex and was wondering if anybody had any ideas on helping me stock it with new fish. I currently have 2 2inch balas, 2 upside down cat, and a bristlenose. Balas will be gone soon ( not suitable for my tank plus it's a friends lol ). I'm mainly looking for unique fish that will go together. Not the usual guppies, danios, mollys, etc. Waht i really want is a puffer, but i guess they need salt huh?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx
