  1. Thinking of adding some rams to my 55. I’ve recently seen some insanely beautiful pictures of Bolivians, brightly coloured and looking almost too good to be true. Most Bolivians I’ve seen in stores are fairly drab. On the flip side I understand the German rams are more difficult to keep. would love to hear from anyone whose kept both and could share their experience and possibly a picture or two. thanks!! Sam
  2. Hi—first real post and I’m posting on behalf of a good friend who is also into fish but not a member here. She sent a few pics yesterday of her pristella and rummy-nose tetras with black spots. Looking further it seems this is a parasitic disease, not usually lethal but visually a negative in your tank/fish. I’ve been in the hobby for many years but hadn’t heard of black spot disease. My questions—what’s your experience with this, has it gone on to affect your whole tank, and have you been able to successfully treat it? If you did treat, with what, and where did you purchase the meds. Many thanks!! Sam ps—here is a picture showing 3 affected tetras. http://AlbertaAquatica.com/uploads/monthly_2023_03/56466A85-70B2-46E2-BF5D-133737FB0C63.thumb.jpeg.9ae53e373d066036174b661a8d2386c1.jpeg
