  2. Hey, I have a suggestion, tell me what this "warn 0%" thing is. <-- right here, what the hell is this? And why is it only on MY posts? Thanks, CptConcerned
  3. In a previous discussion about N. buescheri it was stated by an experienced retailer (Albert) and aquarist (Rahim) that the fish in question was barely worth breeding considering its low demand in the marketplace. What are some examples of tanganyikan cichlids that would be considered valuable breeders?
  4. I read a review of A. calvus which said they were good tang. community fish as long as they weren't housed with shell-dwellers. Why would this be?
  5. Totally agree. I've never known a board to delete threads. Also believe RD's comments about people not thoroughly reading posts before replying. Furthermore, I believe there should be some way to govern and validate breeder's and vendor's claims about the fish they sell. However, I realize this is virtually impossible in the water-world we operate in and feel some buyers may be asking for too much.
  6. This thread is looking so familiar to the ones Ryan, (aka DOO-E) would provoke the members of canreef ( http://www.canreef.com/ ) into before he was practically shunned. How long have you had discus DOO-E? Last I saw you had a few dwarf rams for sale which were originally intended to make you a fortune through breeding. I seldom speak ill of anyone, let alone someone I have never met. But I must say Ryan is the most indecisive and abrasive fish keeper I have ever known.

I like both options. Lets see if there's hiking and driving weather in the next couple weeks and decide from there. Thanks

Anybody know where I can find slate around the Calgary area?
  11. Hello everyone! This is the second local forum I am now registered to (the other is SW). I have never had such an improvement in my tanks and my knowledge than when I started to interact, learn and trade with members of my local community. Hope the same happens here. I am in the process of tearing down a 55gal SW tank and converting to a tanganyikan community with calvus, synodontis and shellies. Any advice, product or experience would be appreciated. I also have a 55gal reef tank and a 20 gal neolamprologus buescheri species tank. Look forward to becoming part of the group. Thanks, CptCordial
  12. Boiling water. Inject it into the the aiptasia with a syringe. Quite often after you push the water out of the syringe and suck tank water back in remains of the aiptasia will enter the syringe as well. Make sure these bits and pieces don't go floating around the tank as it will cause the aiptasia to spread. It may take quite a while to hunt down all the little pests but this method will work.
