  1. How hardy are they? what about "eel proofing" your tank so they can't escape?
  2. Interested in getting an eel. Just wondering everybody's experiences with them and advice. I am after something for a smaller tank (33) if even possible. any thoughts on types?
  3. as far as fish for a 25 or 33 gallon a great starter is the damsel. It is one of the cheapest sw fish and is very hardy. They also have lots of personality and color.
  4. loving the aquascape........... original.
  5. your significant other must really love you.............
  6. I have 2 spotted puffers and 1 figure eight to give to a good home. have had them for almost a year and they are fed brine, krill and the odd feeder. salt level is 1.012 - 1.014. pm me but be patient because I am away from the comp. lots. thanx. HB

  8. nice tank! where did you get the rock for $5 a pound? also please explain "hob fuge". thanx, hb
  9. Q: the hat? A:Medicine Hat. That's my guess anyway. Welcome. :smokey:
  10. I have a 150 and a 300 on my 33 gallon. the impeller actually stops rotating and I am finding nothing in the magnet\impeller. the magnet seems to "stick" when you try and put it back in the "slot" and has no free movement. quite possibly sand... will just have to clean it more often.
  11. does anybody know how to make aquaclears salt friendly? I have two running on my 33 gallon salt and the impellers keep getting all clogged up with what I expect is salt. Any suggestions would be great........ thanx, hb
  12. A good quantity of live rock will help the process along as well!!
  13. do you know if a peppermint shrimp and a coral banded shrimp can be housed together?
  14. Does anybody have any suggestions for getting an aiptasia problem under control? So far I've come up with a syringe and lemon juice, or a copperband butterfly fish. I know that you can't remove them by hand because they just seed worse from handling them. The are starting to get out of hand , just looking for some ideas...........
