  1. Hey, riverfront calls the fish you guys call an esthare a pseudotropheus flametail mozambique

Mozambique seems to be a part of the lake but i'm not getting any flametail mbuna's, wayne did say it was a pseudotropheus though

    any other thoughts?

The other one is indeed a whitetailed acie, I bought him somemore females, so he's doing great thanks for the help

  2. Hey I don't know anything either, but it would be intresting to see what you trying give us all the details, equipment, size, decor, tank chemistry. I'm not a puffer nut, but I am planning a gsp tank and considered trying the fugu since they look healthy at riverfront definately a challenge though

I've looked arounf this forum, heres a thread that might be useful, heck maybe you've already seen it but

  5. I did a big watter change monday, and my P. elongatus looked like it was dead, I thought maybe the watter was a little cold i checked and it wasn't too bad she literaly went on her side for about 20 minutes and eventually started swimming around a little, back to normal by the end of the day. The other fish were fine but the filling hose was in her half(divided tank 3 mbuna). anyways maybe this had something to do with you should all be carefull

On the Ph thing my understanding was that a quick change was the problem but you can actually keep fish in much lower or higher ph as long as it is stable for example with africans 7.2 should be fine even though 8 is recomended-

  6. If they are subpar I would jsut keep them

But riverfront seems to take almost anything, I just gave them all my agresion victims(extra males and the odd outnumbered female) because I'm in the process of restocking the tank against agresion, they took seven less then top fish for 20 dollars, I bought them there at sixteen a piece

  7. I had a cousin who kept some rainbows in saskethchewan, they are really neat fish, he picked up four and grew to about fourinches in a ten-15gallon(obviously not the best conditions, maybe the worst) but really neat fish - very fast and go crazy for any food put in the tank

  8. I'm intrested but don't know...

Mine is kept below the water pointing upwards about 45degrees, so the watter bulges up nearly an inch, I figure if this is wrong the aquaclear can make up for it

  9. No against the window I didn't need to use the flash which always reflected back to the camera, I took it back, decided that since I have have had two females two males and two sets of fry, I'm expert enough, anyways riverfront was fine about it didn't question me it all worked out good but I'm still looking for some female lombardoi if someone has em in plus size, three-four inches

    Thanks anyways

  10. Thanks everyone still haven't done anything yet have to move goldfish fry out of the tank, but... I'm planning a green spotted puffer tank maybe figure eight so it's a possible brackish to full marine idea, and I heard this may not be a good idea(?) is silica sand ok in a fish only marine tank or FOWLR?

  11. Is it safe to do a watter change now? I'm thinking it's legal too but maybe correct me if I'm off...

I'm in the northwest and was out of town for the last few days, my father is saying that the watter treatment facilities are overloaded or something and were suposed to be careful with the watter?
