  1. Tanks size is your problem A 75 is ideally minimum for an oscar and one unobtrusive friend You need a big tank for a clown knife (6x3x2) (fish gets 2 feet+) and a massive coldwatter pond for a channel cat (4 foot fish)
  2. It's best if it's possible to let the female regain her health for about three days before carefully adding them to the main tank. I might be having the same sort of problem now so will watch this
  3. Are we supposed to change these about yearly? I have absulutely no idea what I've got came used with the tank, but it more blue then anything else gives some of the rocks a nice near blacklight glow if there isn't any algae on them.
  4. Thanks rahim but no, I do have one of those though this is the third picture from the top if your intrested
  5. Hey, riverfront calls the fish you guys call an esthare a pseudotropheus flametail mozambique Mozambique seems to be a part of the lake but i'm not getting any flametail mbuna's, wayne did say it was a pseudotropheus though any other thoughts? The other one is indeed a whitetailed acie, I bought him somemore females, so he's doing great thanks for the help
  6. Hey I don't know anything either, but it would be intresting to see what you trying give us all the details, equipment, size, decor, tank chemistry. I'm not a puffer nut, but I am planning a gsp tank and considered trying the fugu since they look healthy at riverfront definately a challenge though I've looked arounf this forum, heres a thread that might be useful, heck maybe you've already seen it but http://www.thepufferforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=290
  7. What's your setup like? they did look in good shape at riverfront
  8. Here is the caillanous pic fo show
  9. If they exist that might be it I thought I heard afra I got a little confused I'm always a little rushed in lfs
  10. Yep, it think your right both ways, the esthare was Identified as so on another site and the polit is the wrong pic I have a polit pic somewhere does the last fish look like a nyassa peacock?
  11. Thanks ABwilderose I think the rocks will look better later it's still quite new and needs an even coat of algae
  12. Tank 90 gallons Caeruleus and callainous, the only nice yellows are the three from golds, the one with the vertical baring is from pisces and the almosted bloated looking ones with horizontal stripe if you can tell from pics are from riverfront Closer pic of a nicer Yellow, and an unknown cichlid from riverfont Polit, these are neat fish Afra and demasoni Albino socofoli and my favorite the male lombardoi Unknown Fish from Golds Supose that's enough for now I have more if yah want em but would apreciate ID's on the two unknowns to please, all comments welcomed EDIT-> pics look horrible at this size
  13. I did a big watter change monday, and my P. elongatus looked like it was dead, I thought maybe the watter was a little cold i checked and it wasn't too bad she literaly went on her side for about 20 minutes and eventually started swimming around a little, back to normal by the end of the day. The other fish were fine but the filling hose was in her half(divided tank 3 mbuna). anyways maybe this had something to do with you should all be carefull On the Ph thing my understanding was that a quick change was the problem but you can actually keep fish in much lower or higher ph as long as it is stable for example with africans 7.2 should be fine even though 8 is recomended-
