  1. Couple pics of my GS.. Hope to see pics of yours soon
  2. Lot of semi larger shops will have Ghost Shrimp as feeder stock. I'd follow up on Toirtis suggestion if it's in driving range. Ghost Shrimp are great for killie keepers too. Put eggs, some java moss, and a shrimp or too in the hatch container and the shrimp will keep the eggs nice and clean for you. won't hurt eggs or fry IME either.
  3. Newest addition got tired of it siting dry so filled it tonight, stil need to move the plants as that whole ledge was all plants before adding the tank. (Living Room) 50Gal Bow at this point in time need to find a piece of black plastic to replace that cardboard with though. (Living Room) Upper of two 20's bit of a mix.. (Living Room) Lower of the 20's also a mix.. (Living Room) Maturnaty tank couple killies and ancistrus in there hiding at the moment.. (Dining Room) 20 extra tall.. (Master Bedroom) 25 Hex (Wife's tank in Living Room)
  4. Slide show of older pics couple of mid setup pics etc. http://www.canadianfishforums.com/gallery2...p;g2_itemId=304 Will add a current pic of each tank soon.
  5. If resealing anything in a tank I would go all or nothing (not meaning strip off the plastic and break it down to flat glass). As in Nick's article use a razor etc (I use an exacto knife with both a flat and 45 angle blade to do mine). Clean all the silicone out (may as well while yer there right). As to the odd jab into the gap between the galss plates it shouldn't matter too much as the new beed wil actually be pushed into it and is more meant to creat a concave seal between the to plates/panes. Be sure to keep finger good and wet when beeding the corners, I use a frozen juice container to hold water for finger dipping so I can scrape excess off finger with the rim and just toss the container when I'm done. Make sence ?
  6. Hey don't knock the rubermaid. LOL.. Acyually thinking about using a tall Rubermaid drawer set for killies at some point. have each drawer over flow to the next down and then the bottom drawer work as a sump with the pump going back to the top. Just something I wanna try someday, soonish.

  8. Hmm. the options are slightly slim.. No option for multiple.
  9. Now there's a name I have seen on other sites as well. As a quess I'd say The Tropical Tank. Thank you all for the warm welcome. On a side note Toirtis I think I need to get in touch with the CAS Exchange editor and re-establish the exchange between DRAS and CAS soon. But that prbably has better places to discuss then here atm. So far love the site and the efforts put into it by both staff (admins, mods etc) and the members. Keep up the good work.
  10. That's the same blue tint I have painted my last few tanks with.. Loks like it will be a fab room when all settled. (not that it doesn't look good now)
  11. A couple friends of mine from here have moved to Alberta (couple have recently returned as well) and a couple friends here are from there. Is really a small world in the end, specially with the internet and all. Additional information about myself would be that I run a newer site called "Canadian Fish Forums" and I am also the Exchange Editor for "Tank Talk" the monthly publication from the "Durham Region Aquarium Society" Not that it matters to anyone much but is why I have the links for those in my sig. For those not in an Aquarium Society or Club. Take the time and find out where and when the local club meets, pop in as a guest for a meeting or two. You don't HAVE to become a member if you find it not your cup of tea or coffee as it may be. I do assure you if there is a decent club in your area though it is at least worth a visit be it one tank or 20 that you own. For those in Calgary here is the Calgary Aquarium Society. http://www.calgaryaquariumsociety.com/ in case you didn't have it. I have had the pleasure of reading "The Calquarium" and find it a great publication.
  12. Just wanted to say hi to all those here. Running 6 tanks at the moment at home with a 7th sitting Dry Dock and an 8th that wil be coming soon from a neighbour of mine
