  1. Thanks... This one is very nice. Though not as active as the flowers. For some reason, they only active when they are hungry or early in the morning or evening... Then they get food, then they hide in the sand..... So I took a few photo before I feed them tonight.
  2. The lighter color marble motoro The darker color marble motoro Together so you can see the differences Last but not least, my cleaner fish - giraffe catfish
  3. One of the marble motoro. This one has really nice light pattern and big size spot. It is quite active during the day time hour. The other one, the darker one is only active when the light is dim. Small motoro and a flower ray hiding in the sand... Huapeta sp. orange tail (mostly an Armatus but labeled as Tatauaia) And they have some serious teeth
  4. dont quote me on this, I am not an expert on fish. But I believe zebra knife fish is the banded knifefish.
  5. You are right, Patrick. I don't usually use a flash.
  6. no way... Patrick will laugh at my skill. I would not even bring my camera or talk about photo taking when he is around...
  7. Tiger knife fish - one of my favorite knife fish. The way they eat are just fun to watch. It is not like ghost knife or clown knife. Their mouths are on top of their head and they actually have to go side way to suck in food. Electric eel - beast. 2.5 feet in length. Barracuda sp. red - I throw in about 50 neon tetra. The way they hunt is quite amazing. The good hunter will sit still and blink of your eye, it will have a neon in its mouth. The bad hunter will band its nose on the glass when it missed. Huapeta Tatauaia sp. red tail - hard to get the light orange color on the tail, but it is there. Lots of teeth. 50 neon tetra in there as well. They scratch their prey on their side of their mouths. Quite interesting... Red wolf fish
  8. after 5 days, it completely dissolved the food. Now it is swimming around looking for more things to eat.
  9. They are pretty fun, eh? My gulper catfish is starting a free service for people who doesn't know what to do with their un-wanted fish under 5". They can just bring them here
  10. It has been two days now. The stomach of the gulper seems to get smaller already. It is not full as in you can still see the shape of the fish being eatn. It is more like just round belly full... I am quite surprise of how fast it can digest the food.
  11. I think it is going to take a bit longer. It is still fat
  12. Before it eats... After it ate my cycling 3"+ parrot fish. This gulper catfish is only about 5" long. I honestly did not think becase of the height of the parrot fish and width, it will be able to think it is food. I guess I am wrong.
  13. My photo skill is nothing compare to all the experts here in Alberta. But I thought I would share some of the photos of the bichirs. You can see the differences of the pattern, headshape, scales, and even the dorsal shape on some of them. Fahaka puffer - beautiful looking puffer. This one I took photo of recover the fastest. The yellow started to show... Right out from the bag... A few minutes later... Time for the bichirs... I can't take photo of them. They look so much better in person. The size of some of those bichirs is just crazy big... Koliba - This one is the biggest of the all. The biggest one was about 15". Endli Endli "Guinea" - Some of those easily at 12". Beautiful pattern. And my daugther said this one looks like a dino. Teugelsii - my personal favorite; color and pattern is different than the rest. Lapradei "Nigeria" Congicus Buettikoferi Ansorgii
  14. your photos are just amazing... Thank you for sharing such skillful pictures...
  15. nice pick up... one of my favorite catfish...
  16. your welcome. It is always nice to introduce a fish like this eventhough it is a hybird.
  17. Neil: Perhaps Kole. I am all out of spaces with the rays and cats... Kole just recently got a few more tanks...
  18. No kidding, eh... My poor photograph skill made the thaisilk looks white. It is actually a blue tint in the body.
  19. Just want to share the photos of 5 ThaiSilk flowerhorn or more commonly known as Platinum flowerhorn that we have. Before we get into the debate on hybird, this thread is just for showing the fish. I really don't want to discuss the issue of problem or opinion about hybird fish. However, comemts about what you think how this fish is created, it is very welcome. The creator is keeping a very tight lips on what is involved and the number of this ThaiSilk is very limited. We are quite lucky to be the first to get this first in Canada. With white tank treatment, this fish will turn platinum. As for now, they do have a blue tint in the color and they are still quite young at about 4"+
  20. nice flower, Kyle... any recent photos for the female?
  21. Nice fish and great photo skill...
  22. nice looking loaches tank... Excellent camera works...
  23. Just redo the 125 gallon. I tried pool filter sand, fine sand, desert sand, but for the reason easy cleaning, I went back to bare bottom. Added 3 branches there and only 5 points of contact on the tank bottom so I can max. the bottom space. Adonis - I have had this guy since 1" on April 2008. This adonis is 4" or so now. L90 papa - This one posted for me. I notice that everyone of them in my tank has all different pattern and color.
  24. If I am lucky, i might get some tigrinus...
