  1. I live in a new condo, ground floor, and I have a 180 gal set up in the dining room and a 55 gal in the den....I'm not concerned....but I'll let you know if I have issues...the board was jsut elected last night! I do have insurance though and wouldn't think of not having it! Jodes
  2. For sure Janice better come, she's an awesome girl!! I'll let you guys know more about a party as I get settled, most likely in the next few weeks! things seem to be getting back to normal in the tank, the remaining syno's (I can only see 2 and the 3rd remaining is MIA) are doing better, haven't seen them out eating yet, but they seem to have relaxed anywyas! Talk to ya all soon! Jides
  3. Awsome Jason....What about you Pat...we can pick an afternoon one weekend....!!! I lost 3 out of the 6 syno's so far...it sux, the others aren't looking too happy either, I don't get it, but I'm doing big water changes daily to eleviate the problem, but the test strips aren't showing signs of ammonia or nitrite so Ihave no idea??? Oh the Joy's of moving the big tank....:P....I jsut hate knowing that 3 of my most exspensive fish have died....and everyone else is looking good!!? The pleco's are hanging out at the top behind the filter intakes too.....I even made sure there was extra surface movement for maximum oxegenination...anyone have a clue as to what else I can do to make sure the others don't kick it too?? Jodes
  4. Hey Val....I jsut hope you start to feel better soon, We managed jsut fine thanks! I am having an issue with the Syno's settling in, they are all breathing hard and hanging out on the top of the tank a bit. I tested for Amonia and Nitrite and nada....but I did a 25% water change today anyways and got all the rock in so they have some hiding spots.....I'll do another water change tomorrow....I really don't know whats going on as the rest of the fish are doing great! Thanks again, Jods
  5. I'd like to publically thank BooUrns,Janice, Jvision, Henry @Natures Corner and Terri Lee for you guy's help with the tanks....I could not have done it without you and you have no idea how greatful I am!!! I would like to extend my invitation to you guys again for beer's at my place (now that it isn't so chaotic!!) I jsut don't feel that you guys drank enough to sustain all that heavy lifting.....!! I am seriouse here so let me know when you would like to come over and drink the rest of that beer......I need to buy groceries and there isn't room in the fridge!!! Thanks sooooo Much again and again!! Jodaye
  6. HAHAH!! I'm planning on doing it the 14th (Saturday) starting around 11am.....hopefully should only take us a couple hours....say 5? Thanks all again! Jods
  7. 2 weeks to go folks Val Jason Patrick Henry Any other peeps?? If your in please confirm! Jods
  8. Hi Terry, I'm hoping to get it done in the morning jsut to allow me time to get organized to move the rest of the house on Sunday..... Let me know if it works for you...if now I appreciate the offer!!! Any other takers?? Jodaye
  9. OK I found suction cups...FYI there available at Edmonton Rent all 430-6860 for 10/ea per day!! I've booked them for Sat april 14th...hoping to get this done that day! Looking for some confirmed volunteers for that day!! Looking for 4 pple or so, would love to get this done quickly!! More hands make for less work and more time for beer and Pizza!! So far I have: Val Terri Lee please cocnfirm your availability and I'm still looking for a few others!! Thanks, Jodaye
  10. Right on!! Anyone know where you can rent the suction cups??
  11. I'm moving it from the North East to the North West side of the city...all up about a 20 min drive....I'm moving into an appartment condo, ground floor so it shouldn't be too much hauling.....got a dolly, so that takes the whole Carrying it for long distanes out of the picture...thank goodness!!......but there are some stairs to get up getting it out of my basement suite...so I just think the suction cups would make life alot easier!!....2 guys moved in in here.....might take more to get it out!! Still need helpers...experienced ones get extra beers!! Jodaye PS Strong gWomen Rock...I'm one myself and intend on doing what I can! Men are just nicer to watch sweat!! hehe!
  12. I'm trying to find some strong men to help me move a 180gal cichlid tank!! I'd do it myself but ya know! I'm moving into my first owned home.....and have looked into hiring someone to do it, but it costs a small fortune. I am willing to supply the truck needed, and all the beer (after the tank is safely in the new home ;-) ) and pizza you can consume!! I would also guess that we would need some glass suction cups as I'm guessing the tank weighs about 300lbs emply and it would be a little hard on the hands without it! If you are available the weekend of April 13/14 or 15, please let me know...I would be most greatful!! Jodaye
  13. Hey Nev are those the ones you got off me??...they spit like 40+ babes at a time...lookout!
  14. Well the fish died....one of those mystery things I think??
