Never had a problem with adding the Dechlorinator during the refill process.

I dont use tap water to pull tank water out. I use the ole mouth to hose trick and get it started then just let it do its thing.

Ussuall water the plants and outside garden with the old tank water

I am in need of a temporary home for a female Festae. It will only need to be held onto until Kevin is able to make it into Calgary and pick her up. She is a tempermental little fish, but needs some one to watch her for a few weeks. PLEASE help.

Then you should try the suggestion in my first post......... take a picture of the fish and post it on Plecofanatics! They are really good with ID's over there, they play this game where someone posts a picture of a small piece of a pleco, and then other people guess which fish it is.

What if you dont know where to start other than it is a pleco? I have searched many pictures and am going cross eyed.

Often if I am looking for info or positive Id on a particular fish I will use Google or Yahoo images and the name of the fish. Like clown pleco and then take it from there.

I am wondering how one goes about determining the type of pleco they have. I understand that planetcatfish is really good but do you go there and just start searching the lists, and looking at pictures? Or is there a rhyme to the reason? I have one that I need to figure out but would like to understand how somepeople come out and just say....OH thats L1??.

I would like to see some pics.

Fill it with water. Put the top on it. Put the hoses in the water. IN=INto the filter, OUT=into the tank.

Plug it in, lift it up and turn it onto its side. shake (nicely) hold it up and on its side till water starts to flow then SLOWLY VERY VERY SLOWLY put in back on its base and stand it up.

There you go.
