Just a thought....I know it can be very useful on Cichlid-Forum.....

Not really. Labidochromis mbamba aren't kept as much as the yellow labs, but as Gold Aquarium always has them in, they are quite common here in Alberta, as a lot of people shop there, and they breed like rabbits.

That tank is stock quite heavily with rock....I'm assuming that took care of any potential agression problems?

Very nice tank.

Planning to do it myself this summer...

My venustus are in a 4 ft tank, but they were put in there with the idea that they were tracked to be outta there within 6 months to a year, depending on size....they seem to get along fine with the mbuna so far, but that will change...and when it does, they're gone.

I keep Labidochromis freibergi and mbamba, Ps. saulosi, N. venustus, Sc. fryeri, and some kind of peacock from Calgary...

Hi all,
I saw the posting on Cichlid-Forum, and thought I would join in. Gald to see a site for Albertans. I'm in Sylvan Lake, just west of Red Deer (Dead Rear as we like to call it lol).
Thanks to the admins for getting this going....it will be a very useful site for us all, I'm sure.
