  1. I've had SAPs before and I generally gave them the usually puffer fare. Store bought human grade shrimp tails was a favourite. They only got the tail...I ate the rest...lol. SAPs like you may already know will require puffer dentistry. Even with daily feedings of snails, I trimmed the beak about every 6-8 months. Without snails, even sooner. They are fun and interesting. Post some pics!

  2. I have what I think are a. Eunotus and I am surprised how good they are as parents! I. Have a trio in a 12 gallon and both females are taking great care of free swimmers. I am not intentionally breeding so I am not feeding the fry but the mom is doing a grat job protecting and feeding. Of course not many will survive as the white cloud minnows are opportunistic feeders. Very fun to watch!

  3. I bought some apistos from fairdeal. One got bullied before I can get to him and he did not make it. I have one that paired up and now looking after some free swimmers. Looked at my nanocube and found that the remainder trio bred as well. Two females watching over some free swimmers with the male running back and forth between them. I have not bred anything since EBJDs and it is so interesting to watch. I am not really keeping the fry so mom and dad will have to feed and protect. If any survive, it will the be the strongest.

  4. Yes they are scaleless but i have not had problems due to decor. They are smart, inquisitive, and just plain comical. How big is your tank? Big enough tank can house more than one but it is important to get 1m to 2f ratio to decrease aggression. Dont misjudge these li'l puffs. They are fin nippers and be careful what you house them with. Break the line of sight to reduce aggression as well.

  5. dwarf puffers are notorious fin nippers and make once in a while take on a shrimp. Not the best way to get rid of snails. Figuring out why you have an infestation to begin with will help solve the problem. If you decide to get more puffers, see if you can get females instead of males. I found males to scrap with each other more than females. What else do you have in the tank for livestock?
