  1. Not sure if black is avail., But Canadian Tire has a Mastercraft brand of silicone in clear that claims to be aquarium safe. Was slightly over $4.00/tube-they may sell black as well. Other than that, I would have to suggest Bow Valley maybe? Good luck. Robert
  2. That's going to be awesome! I think built-ins are a really great idea, although a huge under-taking. Best of luck! Can't wait to see more photos as completion continues... Robert
  3. Wow! Reading all the nice comments from everyone sure brings a large smile to our faces! Feel very welcomed here already, and am looking forward to being a part of it! Thank-you all so much for the kind words, that type of support is huge for us, and I am honored that people are replicating our designs! It truly is the best form of flattery! Reguards, Robert
  4. I will have to check things a little more, and it could be either I guess. We have never noticed any fighting, all seems well there, but It is possible. The fin-rot thing may be it too-time to check closer, and medicate, I guess. Thanks for the help Robert.
  5. Thanks Neil, for the kind words. We really enjoy working with other enthusiasts, whether it be large or small, as it combies two of my major interests, so it doesn't seem like work as much. Thanks again. Robert.
  6. Hi, Would have to agree with the dresser idea-DON'T! I'm guessing that you've probably decided this already, but it can't be stessed enough in my opinion, that this isn't a good idea, for other viewers as well. I have seen the direct result of over-loading household furniture, as a tank stand, and the results were horrific. There are sveral ways to construct your own DIY stand reasonably priced if store bought isn't an option financially. I build and sell stands, but also realize that stands are expensive. If you would like a little assistance in you own DIY, feel free to contact me, would rather help a little if I can than hear later of a disaster in someones home, and the possibility of injuries, ect... Thanks Majestic_Aquariums
  7. We have 10 Silver Dollars (2" to 3") in a 90 gal, along with some smaller tetras, and 3 dwarf gouramis in a community tank. Their growth was quick at first, but now some have been losing their fins. There aren't any fin-nippers, all get along fine, and it is only the Silver Dollars that have this problem. We do regular water-changes (25% per week) Was wondering if this is easily explained-is it a difficiency in diet, ect. Thanks in advance! Robert
  8. Just wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves. We currently have 4 aquariums running-250gal total between Marine and Freshwater. We as well build and sell aquarium stands-www.aquariumstands.net. We really like building and selling these, as it gives us a chance to meet more people involved in the hobby. Was quite impressed with the site! Thanks Robert and Rhonda Craig
