Hi all, Just took a peek at my fish while I changed the water and they look fine. I put them in a barrel and wrapped with insulation in a non-heated garage. Added a under gravel pump and a bird bath heater from UFA. Seemed to work well. Now to fix my leaky pond waterfall

I have noticed a couple of my oto's are just huge, either they are preggers or they swallowed a small coke bottle. I have a planted tank with tons to eat and they are all fat but these two are huge! They are in a community aquarium with rainbowfish so I doubt that the fry would survive tho.

got some green water going but I delt with it with my diatom filter. gotta like that filter! joe

Ok, i went and pick up everything. $33.75 for everything except epsom salts which I got at Sobys (small jar) for 3 bucks. based on what I have used to make first .5 liter I have enough to last for a long long time. vic

Worked great. found some at tlfs and threw it in. algae disappeared and never came back. I do want to make the pond a little bigger though. vic

i have 4 - 6 - 8 inch fish that i cant leave in the small preformed pond i have them in. I was thinking to get a 50 gallon rain barrel and put them in a unheated garage with an airstone. Will this work? Is 50 gallons enough? thanks vic

where can I get the fixings for PMDD in calgary? I have a 72 with 2 x 96w CF , my vals grow like crazy but my swords are slow. I have been dosing sporadically but want to start with DD. I do have a yeast C02.. vic
