It did not take me long to get the mix together.

Here in Calgary we have great source of good quality fish:

- local breeders and Gold Aquariums

I bought have the mix from a breeder friend and the other half from Gold Aquariums.

There are only 3 such colonies in Alberta that I know of:

1 in Edmonton and 2 in Calgary.

Ted bought 9 from dennis and another guy bought the rest (17 fish) in all.

They will make money once the breeding kicks in as the fry go for $35.00 - $40.00 USD and there are very limited number of fry available.

I wish those guy the best of luck as I sure as hell would like some.

The cloudiness could be a bacteria bloom.

I would water changes every 2 day, about 50% for about a week.

The usually clears it up.

I happens in my tank in Calgary once in a while and these water changes clears it up in about a week.

There is a guy in Calgary that has picked up a wild group from Gold Aquariums.

He has 9 wild ones and one is currently holding.

He goes by the handle:

"Overstocked" in the cichlid forum.

If all goes well, he will have some fry soon.

OR you could just get a black background from a pet store..I have seen them at Gold Aquariums as well as Petland....
