what are the chances she will pull through this

I had a frontosa with pop eye last week I had a bad spike in my tank when I cleaned it I hooked up my canister the wrong way (I know how stupid can I be ) so I got rid of the pop eye and her eye went cloudy yesterday and today it looked like it blew open on the top of her eye like popcorn and now there is fuzz on her eye she stopped eating yesterda and I went to golds and picked up some medicine she is in a breeder tank inside of my tank my hospital tank is full of electric yellow fry right now , I put the medicine in I am using Maracyn-Two that I got and gave the first dose at about 5 pm but she looks way worse than before how long is it going to take to see some improvements , I feel so bad for her it looks nasty

I had the same thing happen in my tank I lost half of my tank before I figured out that it was running way to hot , we went through a hot spell and one of my kids must have been playing with the heater

why would they take all the meds off of the shelf , I really haven't had to many problems with fish diseases but I know when something all of a sudden pops up I like having the cures

well I treated them and they got better it wasen't like salt the one had a fuzz ball on his eye and since I treated them all the marks and fuzz are gone and the ones that had stopped eating are now fine and eating again

I have 14 fish in a 40 gallon tank I change the water once a week my hood is the Eclipse 3 so it has a filter in it and I am also running an Ehiem 2215 to hlp filter out anything bad . I treated for ich and they look alot better I had to treat it twice so we will see what happens my neighbour has a couple tanks so I trust his judgement so keep your fingers crossed and hopefully this is the end of it

so last night I brought my neighbour over to see if he could figure it out and he said it was ich so I stripped my tank down and did a water change and put in the medicine and a fish that I thought was dying is now fine well improving atleast and the others are doing better so I still have to change the water again tonight and redose because some still have spots but we are on the road for recovery

so I went and saw Denise and took him 2 of the affected fish and he said the one has cloudy eye but whatever is on it is falling off and other than that they look very healthy and not to treat the tank just do waterchanges and keep a close watch on them and as for my yello lab babies he said she was holding them way to long and they all starved

I am going to go to golds and talk to Denise this afternoon and see if he can help me with this and right now Calgary water smells really funny so I am really leary on changing the water I had a shower and my hair is really dry now which it never is so I don't know what they are putting in the water to get it clean

oh and the eye isen't really cloudy it almost looks like a piece of fuzz is stuck to it

well I lost my Fantosa last night and my femaile electric yellow spit her babies and they were all dead I put melafix in the water last night and you could see the babies in her mouth and they were fine so I think the melafix killed them I am so mad about this right now it isen't even funny :banned: :banned: :banned:

all my levels are perfect Amonia is 0 Nitrite is 0 I don't have a nitrate test my fish are eating well , I don't have a quarintine tank so I have them in breeding tanks inside my tank I just melafix in and I am going to do a water change tomorrow it's to late tonight to do it one of the ones I have quarantined has a cloudy eye and a fuzzy patch right behind that and the other one my fontosa fins are pretty ragged so hopefully they will be safer atleast and I lost a chinese algae eater but I think I might have had a hand in that

ok guys I really need help I just found my fontosa(sp?) and it's pretty rough too this has just all happened today and my water is all good and I have no clue what's going on I need help before I loose my whole tank

ok I have a african tank and one of my mails not to sure what he is has got fuzzy stuff on one of his eyes and on the same side and I noticed on some of my parrotts that they are missing scales I can't find any info on it so I am not to sure what to treat it with ?? I also have an electric yellow femal that is in a breeding thing in my tank she is about to spit out her babies and I am scared to move her to a seperate tank because the only tank I have already has babies in it and I don't want them to get sick either but I also don't know if the medicine will kill the babies before they are born ??? it has been about 3 or 4 weeks I am not too sure I have had alot going on lately so the month just flew by she has 2 right now and I can see more in here mouth she spit one last Friday and one today so I thought that that was wierd but this is her second batch the first one I wasen't ready for so they got eaten

I have herd people saying thet if there fry isn't spit out soon that they might have to strip them my electric yellow has been holding for awhile now she is in a nursey because I do not have another tank she spit one last friday and one tonight but there is still more in there (I can see them) so hoe long should I wait before I strip them and hpw do you do that Thanks alot , Shelley

ok here is my update my female has spit out one about 2 days ago but no more and you can see all the little guys in her mouth is this normal the nusery that she is in will suck the babies into a seperate nursery so since she spit one out she won't do it again

I just didn't know when to take her out of the nursery it is pretty small, also when does she spit them out? I have had her in there for 2 days and she has had a mouthfull for awhile about 1 week

I got a small nursery for my female electric yellow is that going to be big enough

ok heres the scoop my last baby got eaten but my female is holding again I have her in a nursery for the moment what I need to know is when does the female leave the "nest" or does it always stay in the nursery until they are big enough Pinkeyfish

heres the update the baby is doing good if I give my other fish enough food the baby can come out far enough to grab food as it goes by so he is eating well .... along with my other fish :cry: they are going to get so fat ,, atleast now I know what to look for and can be better prepared for next time ... how well would those breeding traps ? work

she really doesn't look too much fatter just enough to notice as for the flake they are from the bulk bin at Big Als they are a spirolina flake but what kind I have no idea but I will stop giving them bloodworms thay wont like me for awhile but thats ok

it's not my male that is rounder it is the female ...she doesn't look like she is going to burst but just really full (like after a really good thanksgiving diner lol) I give them flake food and as a treat frozen bloodworms and Brine shrimp ...but I was reading something lastnight about bloodworms giving problems to electric yellows Pinkeyfish

I am loving this it's better than trying to read books or look everything up on the internet
