Yes they are from lake bermin in africa. they were peaceful until 3 days ago when 2 started to pair. i removed 2 adult daffodils as they were just chasing any thing that moved...haha and had to remove all the rocks in the process. the pair remind me of kribensis when breeding... (this is my tank back off) attitude. I believe i read they get to between 5-6 inhes when grown. my guys are barely 1.5 inches.. herbivores in the wild . i have them in a 38g corner tank, with the other 2 bythobates... but may have to move them soon... i did not want to disturb them so i left the rocks out. there is not a lot of info on them on the internet... stay tuned for pix/updates.

these guys are very very shy. here are some pix. i have a pair forming already. coloring up/digging pits.... any one else keep these rarities???

i was never really a fan of betta's. but i just loved the colors on this guy among many others... may have to even go back and pick up the copper/teal crowntail anyways here is my new pink wonder

yes i am still moving things around, i had this huge sword plant that would never stay rooted so i moved it to my 115g. looks much better in there. the first picture is what it looks like right now... but who knows.... i am going to add some more, bacopa, rotala for height.

need to add more plants but this is 1month old.

the pair has killed 2 females. and ate their eggs 3 times now. i did get free swimming guys once. then pappa ate them...

finally managed to remove mama red hump.. the second she saw me she would suck them in so fast... i think there is about 40 babies

depending on how many items, but usually around 5pm. i think we are at about 450lots.

i have 4 rams 3females and 1 male first spwan and he ate the eggs. second female and they are just free swimming now. very territorial. i am going to move them soon and hopefully grow them up. i have very hard water. ph is 7.8 and 80% hatch rate i can not stop spying on them.

so i picked up 4 rams on sunday. 1male and 3 females... guess what? the larger female is laying eggs as i type this. easily at 100eggs.. wow that was fast they are only 1- 1.5 inches in size. i think i will take out the remaing girls. new momma is very territorial already its only been 48hours in the new tank.... who here knows how to raise rams ???????????

also looking at the Pelvicachromis taeniatus species, and few more rainbows.. substrate is florite. so 2 males 4 female ratio for the rams??

never had rams before...looking at the german blues just wondering how many to put into a 90g. there is 9furcata rainbows right now. plans are to be fully planted community tank. stocking up at the auction i hope...hahaha opinions please
