Hi. I am in Edmonton. I currently have a 55g planted tank with some pristillas and harlequins as well as an ornery pl*co. I just set up my old 27g hex to give my loach some peace and quiet. I am open to any suggestions for roomies for the loach. He is a siniboita robusta.

I feel for you. I had a bad infestation in my 55 gal tank as well. I tried the loach method and it helps. The problem is that the snails reproduce so abundantly that the loaches can't keep up. The only way to reduce the numbers to an acceptable level ( I say this because it,s almost impossible to get them all ) is to remove them by hand. At one point I was taking out over 30 each day. Also, remove any egg deposits you see. They can be anywhere such as plants, the corners of the tank, and in your filter. Good luck.

Help. This is my second pl*co. The first one died when he smashed his head on toe hood. He was 8 yrs old and about 12" long. Now my new guy is showing the same type of behaviour. He keeps trying to jump out of the tank and I am afraid he may hurt himself as well. He is only 2 yrs old but has already grown to 10" long. The wonderful people at Natures said they can find a home for him so thank you to them. I was wondering if anyone knows the safest way to transport him. Thank you for any advice.
