well that sucks. i looked at their site, they may have a lot of plants but that doesn't mean that it necesarily is good in every way. Like that they ship only once a month.

I need to find a cheap substrate and a good quality one is Tahitian or colorquartz. does anybody have these brands and where did you buy them?

Well i found something that is really cheap and multiple people use. it's called black beauty and is for sandblasting but if you wash it out good enough it is a good substrate. i'm going to buy a few bags of that. they say it's usually at any local hardware store.

so theres nothing i can buy really cheap?

as in the substrate. if not what is the cheapest black substrate that you can buy in edmonton that would be adequate for planted tanks?

My question is my title. it has to be in edmonton and can't be more than 30$. any ideas?
