I am 21 and have been keeping fish for 3 years I started with a couple gold fish that grew to be quite the beast, during spring 2008 I gave them to a friend to put in his pond. In the mean time I kept a community tropical tank..... until my tank split in half, I sold all of my fish and continued to keep rainbow and mbuna cichlids. I now have a 67G planted tank with various rainbow species imported from LA. I have managed to raise a couple sets of their young and so far so good. I have a 112G tank which consits of primaraly wild caught, f1, and f2 mbunas. the other tank mates are breed by some friends in calgary. I breed wild caught hongis, f1 masobas, red zebras, eurikan peakocks,flame back victorians, and hopefully in coming time my f2 polits, pearl mutts and yellow jakes. The rest of my collection are not in proper pairs. I also have a tanginyika tank that has 7 sibwessas, and 7 wild caught petrochromis sp texas reds. 2M, 5F. They are all living happily together in a 75 gallon. My texas reds take no interest in my young sibwessas and managed to clean all of my glass within hours. Before I put these guys in the tank I had been growing an algea wall for about 4 months, all of it is gone. they are strick vegitarians and wont even try to eat fry. My biggest male is about 8 inches and has a blue body, unique patterns on his face and red tipped finns. Some female show these colors but the female are often brown. They also have a very nice blend of colors through out their fins. The rest of my tanks are fry, grow out, breeding, and quarintine tanks.
