  1. IT WORKS!!! I am crushing the snails and my little guy is going crazy for them. I will definately try the mussels and clams. Thank you so much for your help!!
  2. Thank you for the responses. My little dude is in a brac tank and is as bright green as can be, I have done my homework! I was thinking about crushing a snail the other night and my girly voice said no!! I will try that this weekend after I work up the courage. What kind of snails are you useing?? I have atempted the parasitic snails out of another tank in the house are those ok? Right now I am stuffing the empty snail shells with krill and hand feeding him. He will bite the shell once or twice to get the krill and is still ble to eat, this is a tedius task (stffing tinny shells) and sometimes he magicaly sucks the krill out! I will hold off as long as I can to trim his teeth as I am sure that would be much worse on the nervs then crushing snails!! I will keep you posted Baby G
  3. I have a Green Spotted Puffer who is around a year now and it's teeth are starting to be grown (he is still able to eat.) His main diet is Shrimp and krill, I have tried numerous time to feed him snails. How do people feeding them the snails??? He will hand feed but won't touch the snails, when I drop the snial in the tank they burry under the gravel...should I take the gravel out? I have tried not feeding him so that he will try the snail, this has not worked. I have stuffed snail shells with krill the best I could but he suckes the krill out. I am aware that the shells need to be the size of his eye but still no luck. I am now resorting to trimming his teeth. I have read many articles on this but still am hesitant. Does anyone have any words of advice? Thank you Baby G
  4. The tank is a 29g cube. SG 1.015 I do like the knight Gobies however my aquarium allows them to hid behind the rock wall built into the tank and when I do water changes they will dry dock themselves, this concerns me.
  5. I currently have 2 knight gobies in the tank with the GSP and there are not any problems with aggression. I have to hand feed the GSP since the gobies grab his food away from him, he is not aggressive enough to keep his food.
  6. I am looking into tank mates for my Green Spotted puffer. I was interested in Mollys as they do well in a barckish tank however I read that they do not do well with Gold fish as they pick at their slime coat. I do not wish to have this happen to my GSP. I am aware that sooner or later the GSP will have to be on his own but currently he is pacing the walls of his tank, I read this means he is bored. Any ideas?? Baby G
  7. He is in a 29 gallon cube with two Knight Gobies. I am slowly weening him towards brackish because he was fresh water in the store. He is at one teaspoon per 5 gallons right now. The tank has a Fluval 103 and a maxijet 600 powerhead. Will the krill wear his teeth down enough for now? what about shrimp with shells on them? Baby G
  8. Hi everyone. new to the board. I am having troubles getting my Green Spot Puffer to eat snails. I know they must be no larger then the size of his eye but is there a certain type of snail? I am currently trying to use the parasitic snails from a LFS. He is eating Krill from my hand and does have a health apatite. He is 1.25 inches in length. Thanks Baby G
