  1. Makes sense! so what do you charge for rent? I have a small group of Saulosi babies that are looking for immediate possession. I think I may have to evict them from my tank as they are getting too rowdy... :P nev
  2. Very Cool! if you don't mind me asking... why all 10 and 15 gallon tanks? why not put a 6 foot tank on one row and then the smaller tanks? nev
  3. Pick up a small breeder tank at a LFS, add an air stone to it, feed and do water changes in the breeder tank... then when they are big enough you can give them to me... or sell them. or let nature do its course. nev
  4. Are you planning on catching the babies and raising them or letting nature takes its course? Congrats by the way! nev
  5. only for her to take them?? she'll never do a water change... they would be as good as dead in 6 months... I like the idea though! My wife has still considered your option that you gave her. I can buy a really big tank if i start doing laundry... I have to ask myself... is it worth it? nev
  6. My car and Fish are Paid off... we have no debt other that this dirt pile we bought that will one day grow a house. nev
  7. I think she may. I keep telling her that you want me to divorce her for a fish girl. Every time her answer is the same... If we divorce i'll be taking your car, our house, and the thing that bothers me is she wants to take my fish just to spite me. Love and marriage... nev
  8. I now have proof that my wife does LOVE ME Very much! My Birthday is on Sunday and for the first time ever she is buying me fish!!!!!!!! She is buying a group of polit juvies off of Gina for me!!! My wife read this post and though that Qattarra was the only person that knows what they are saying. And Sean... My wife said i cannot play with you anymore as she feels you are a bad influence! nev
  9. Thanks Guys! i'll take it as a good thing that she called me first. ...and she may secretly, kind of, maybe a little bit, actually like my fish. nev
  10. My wife called me today and left me a message as i was on the other line. Here is an example of what she said: "I Nevin, Hows work going? I have some bad news for you as one of you fish had died and i was wondering if i have to scoop it out or not. I think its one of your big saulosi's females. Any way please call me back when you can and let me know if i have to scoop it out or not." Now for any of you that don't know, Saulosi are my favorite fish and i have a lot of time and patience in this group that i currently have (I spent about a year searching to find them). When my wife called saying its my Big saulosi it could only be one of 2 fish. My F1 Male or my F1 Female. In the message that she left for me she said female and i'm ruling out my F1 male, but still very concerned with the fact that i may have lost my best breeding female. I was thinking to my self that i may have to leave work asap, rush home and pray that the female just needs to be revived in a hospital tank. So i call her back... It was not my saulosi that passed on it was a female Afra which is being kept in a different tank than the saulosi's... It has been documented on this site that my wife will never be a fish girl. I have given up in trying to convert her and its just something that i will have to live with. The news she gave me today was the equivalent of telling me that my dog just died (i have never been able to get a dog with my brothers allergies growing up, so fish have always been very close to me). now here is my predicament... Should i be mad? or Be happy that she was actually in my fish room looking at my fish to notice that one fish has passed. is there hope for my wife and fish? I swear this website is like free therapy! ... And, no Sean i will not be divorcing her for a fish girl... Yes you are lucky... No i am not. nev
  11. The auction is a Great place to pick up fish! Over the last auctions it seemed that all mbuna went for fairly cheap with the exception of the Red zebra's i sold at the auction previously for $46 for a bag of 4... You can find some steals if but it all depends on what you are looking for. PM returned... nev
  12. Speaking of... we haven't seen to many of Sean's pics here lately? What ever happened to Cory Cats monthy? nev
  13. I still have some F2 saulosi if you are intersted... they are still small at 1 - 1.5 inches but growing fast! it all depends on what colors you like... if you are going for Mbuna ( i wouldn't recommend keeping peacocks and haps with them) you can get just about every color except a nice green and red. PM me if you want some saulosi... I'm also bringing all my babies to the auction as well... another good place to check out some fish! nev
