  1. I have put ruby reds in with angels when they were about 3/4". But when they got to the 1" plus size the angels started to take a $hit kicking and the angels are 2 to 3" range. IMO not a good plan.
  2. Paradise pets in St Albert has pretty much anything you need for A/C filters, Just let them know what you are looking for they will disapear for a few minutes and come back with your part. They are also fairly reasonable with prices.
  3. Welcome aboard. On the note of plants and cichlids I have a tank with yellow labs jewels and rusties that must be retards, Because all I have in there is live plants. BTW let us in on where those trout are hiding.
  4. Thanks Val. I guess they will be staying in the spieces tanks because 80% of the kribs are pairs. Only have 2 pairs of brichardis and 5 loners, too small yet to pair up.
  5. Just wondering if brichardis and kribs can go in the same tank or will I run into problems. Thanks.
  6. I do the same as Jason. Never work harder than you have to.
  7. Daily water changes, And they grow very fast if you have no more than 6 in a 10gal. tank. The top of the tank must also have a tight fitting lid on it or saran wrap to keep air and water temp the same for the first 4 to 6 weeks.
  8. I do 50% water changes on all my tanks weekly and double dose the prime and never had a problem. I also do not test the water until the next day, 24 hrs or more after the water change. All readings are clear.
  9. I have kribs in my 72 community tank and they are fine with the rest of the fish, even neons. The big a-holes are the paradise fish.
  10. It 's a good posibility they are looking for a breeding spot. After all what would you do after going without for a week.
  11. I would suspect the angels to be the murderous culprits. I put large neons in my tank with angels that I thought were too small to eat any fish in the tank. I don't have a great video, but I did see them get eaten.
  12. I also started out with 5 males and 10 females. I now have 8 US males, At war with everybody, and 2 females that are swimming for there very lives.
  13. I was in natures on Sat to pick up more NLS pellets. Sad to say no rams in then. But that was 3 days ago things may have changed.

These guys are allready 1"+, However they are showing some color now. The gal just spit out another batch today and they are white also but have the black on the dorsal and traces of blue on the fins. Thanks for all the info. I'll let them go a little longer and see what they turn out like.

All my fry tanks have grey or brown gravel in them, They also have lots of rocks and plants (live plants not fake).
