  1. Just rescaped my last year's tank.

The tank is less than 2 weeks old.

The glosso seems to be adapting. The hair grass, I had to remove and replant again.

It's a lot easier to start from scratch!

Also, does anyone know the names of these plants?

    1. Looks like a Rotala Wallichi

    2. Looks like Rotala Rotundifolia

    3. What is the red plant?

I'll be posting more in the next few weeks.

  2. Thanks. Betta and Mko. I'll keep posting until the tank matures.

Iwagumis arent too bad. There are rules around it which sometimes limits your flexibility. (golden ratio, plant and rock (size and type) selection)

Here are some links to creating Iwagumis. The golden ratio is very important :)

  3. I went to Aquarium Illusions a couple of weeks ago. They had a custom rimless tank that the owner did not buy. Maybe it was yours. :)

Anyway, nice tank. Any plans of rescaping?

Im deliberating if I should get an ADA tank next year or just get the Hagen Waterhome aquarium.

If I get the Hagen, it will look like my 10 gallon tank and will make my 2 tanks uniform (which will look good also plus its 3 x cheaper).

If I get the ADA, I'll get a clearer one but more expensive.

BTW, Big Al's has a ton of those rocks that I have on my Iwagumi tank just in case.

  4. Thanks Man.

I only have this one as I don't have enough space for now plus I like the nano setups.

Next year, I'll be making a 15 or 20 gallon, I kinda have something in mind already or I might do a triangular composition like yours.

I got this from Jayba. The pipes are good and took about 2 weeks. I should have purchased another one for my tank next year.

I got the 13 mm one as that fits my Eheim 2213.

I bought mine off ebay. No complaints, shipping takes a little while, but for the price who cares.

  5. Nice tank.I like nano to small setups. That way, it keeps the costs down:)

What did you use for your background?

Is it easy to grow hydrocotyle verticillata? Im planning to grow glosso with this on the foreground of my next tank.

Is that a glass drop checker similar to ADA on the lower right?

  6. Thanks Jay,

It was quite moist yesterday so my window was fogged up. :)

The fog picture was taken using a 3mb camera phone.

Sometimes I think the camera phone shots looks better than my 10 mb point and shoot shots because there is only one setting with the phone.
