If you are flying in and renting a car consider westjet to Hamilton instead of T.O., much smaller airport and easier all around then dealing with Pearson. It is an extra 45 mins driving up to here but worth it in my opinion.

Are they fish people? Tell them to call me if they are, don't know any other fish people -05- . Life is Ok here, unlike Cold Lake, Barrie is close by and the big city of Toronto is only 45 mins. It is small town here though, I like the quiet but miss Edmonton a lot.. My neighbourhood is full of military, how knows maybe they'll be moving in to one of he sold homes on my street.

I am not really new. I was here before, but moved about 18 mos ago from Edmonton to Angus near CFB Borden. I finally set up a new (used) tank. I am venturing in to the world of Malawi Cichlids with a 55 gal tank and already am wanting larger. I got it up and running about 2 weeks ago. Must admit I am missing AB but life is Ok here too.

Found another baby about 1/2 the size this morning. :thumbs:

I saw a Rosy Barb baby , appears to be a good 1/4", this morning. Stays in hiding but I have seen him now a few times. Appears healthy. It is just a 33 gal. basic community tank, barbs, glass cats, good sized pleco a couple of tetras and an algae eater. Moved the algae eater over from the 10 gal about 1 mos. ago, as it was getting big and bothering the other two smaller ones. It has since grown quite a bit. About the other post rosy barb revolution, my guys are none stop. I have 3 rosy barbs and 1 very similar who is a golden colour. the 4 of them are on the go spinning and chasing all the time.

I was pretty sure it wasn't. I am thinking maybe it is mislabeled. it is not lucky bamboo that i do know. it might be in the bamboo family.

I was at petsmart last night. I noticed "Bamboo" in the plant tanks. Is this a true aquatic plant? Will it survive in an aquarium? Thanks

I searching myself using google and the aquatica forum . Here is an old forum link http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=15672 I have not called. Due to space i have decided just to go with a 10 gal and wait to set up my larger one. Let me know if you have any success as I too am interested.

What type of pot scrubbers, the sponge type with the course stuff on it, or are you tlaking about the green 3M stuff?

I am wondering what is the best media to use in a Hang on back filter, new 10 gal setup. Right now I have a sponge and floss in mine. I had carbon while the water was clearing from the new flourite. It is clear now and has been removed. Does anyone use zeolite? if so do you use it regularly or just until the tank is established? Thanks

Sweet :thumbs: I'd like to find a 67K bulb and switch out one of the 10k for a more varied spectrum. Not sure where to look.
