Just curious as to why you would not have an air stone in the tank? Would an air stone have prevented this tragedy?

In order to treat ich you are supposed to remove your carbon. Is the carbon garbage or can it still be used if dried? Just wondering as I just threw out 8 bags of carbon.

I have a clown pleco and bristlenose in with my Africans and they are fine. Making sure there is a lot of hiding places is the key.

I had some left over from renovating the bathroom and used 12x12 pieces which were bought from either Rona or Home Depot.

Does anyone have any recommendations of what type of glue or adhesive to use to attach driftwood to slate?

The JD's are fending everyone off and are now moving some of the eggs from the slate into a pit. One of the Ocars it a little banged up but nothing too serious. There is a lot of digging going on and there are holes everywhere. This is the JD's first attempt at breeding so it will be interesting to see the results. The tank is 90 gal 48x24x18 and the Oscars are 6-7".

Most of the eggs are brown but there are a dozen or so white ones. Thanks for the help.

Now what? I have two Oscars and a large pleco also in the tank. Does anyone have any pointers. Should I take the pleco out?
