  1. It's not the SAEs that were being bothersome. They ARE very peaceful (and ACTIVE). It was my nippy diamond tetras that were the problem. They seem to have settled their differences though. *edited for spelling. D'oh!
  2. Thanks, I know how big they grow. I'll deal with that when the time comes.
  3. Well, my question is a non-issue now, the second SAE made a brief appearance last night, and the diamonds no longer chase them around. So everyone's happy.
  4. Sorry for posting a question before introducing myself. I have one 45G planted tank. Populated by diamond, black skirt, and now colombian tetras. I have two very small pleckos (who recently had babies that were gobled up before I knew what to do with them) and two (I hope) SAEs. I also have a 20G that is empty ATM, I haven't decided what to do with it. Although I joined this group in November, I've just been lurking. My Dad is a member (Ruadh) and he shares all the great info he learns on here. I've read a lot great info on here myself. Thanks for being here!!
  5. I bought a couple of SAEs yesterday, and when I put them into my tank, the diamond tetras chased them like crazy! Today I have only seen one SAE. I researched, and found the two fish are supposed to be compatible. Could my diamonds have tormented the other one to death? or is it just more shy then the other SAE? I also bought colombian tetras yesterday, and although they are waayyyy smaller than my fully grown diamonds and black skirts, the three groups were best friends instantly.
  6. Hi Daddy!! Just dropped in for a visit! :)
