Any good fish store in Florida I should drop by and take a look?
Thanks.

How much did u pay for the new lights?
-
Mini update!
Clearing up nicely, might be putting the fish back in tonight! Pics to follow. Also, we will be ordering a second LED light to sit next to this one. It will be moved to our next project (15g Iwagumi)... Once we find the 15g.
EDIT: I'm embarrassed about how bad that HOB filter looks.
Where did u get the wood?
-
My son bought a reflector from the garden centre in Calgary. So, garden centre has it.

I am not sure by boiling the wood will work or not. I did try on my driftwood and it seems working.

I would just do like jvision says...try it out first...it works on me all the time...

I bought the clear tube from Rona. It works so good. The main thing is that the fish still alive..
Much cheaper compare to buy it from LFS.

I am looking to find a impeller part for AquaClear 300. I just want to see if some one have the used one to give away or sell it cheap before I am heading to LPS.

Congratulation!
Just wondering that are you using water straight from tap or RO water?
-
I love Golden Retriever. They are very smart...

I have to say "Thank You" for the introduction of Rainbows. Thanks for your effort you put in.

I do the same thing as jvision, but I will take the fry out by opening the female mouth and dump them all out into a different tank. The fry then will eat after few days when you see the sac getting smaller and they can swim around the tank.
-
I will post some pictures soon.

Just wondering, do u just use Alberta water or u using soft water for breeding?
-
Monos and scats are okay too.
-
I live in Calgary. So how can I get some?
-
It is hard to tell what exactly happen by what you described. But I would suggest that make sure the light on the heater goes off when you turn down the temperature knot. If it doesn't turn off, then we know for sure is the heater.

Not sure what the secret is. They love the Shrimp spinach salad, tank temp is 79f 25% w/c weekly. Flake, f/d blood worm, and cichlid pellets. Live plants to browse on plenty of light. Not much else to say though.
So, how about the water? Does it require soft water like Discus? Or just normal Alberta water?
thanks
