I will keep my ears and eyes open for local fish. I am mainly looking for guppies, tetras and such for right now. Next will be chiclids for my other tank.

I am leaving the two filters on the 90 gallon going and I will just remove some of the media like your said for the 58 gallon. Thanks for the help!!

The 90 gallon tank has two Fluval 304 filters.

I've been using prime for quite some time now in the 90 gallon. If I take out some gravel and filter media for the 58 gallon will it mess with the 90 gallon's stability? Do I need to let the new 58 gallon cycle before putting fish in it? Or should it be ok using some filter media and gravel from the established 90 gallon?

Pardon my ignorance but what do you mean by stability? Is that a chemical?

I am picking up a 58 gallon tank this weekend. I have a well established 90 gallon tank that's been running trouble free for over 2 years. Can I use about 30 gallons and some of it's gravel (the 90 gallon's) and top the rest of the tank with the water that was in the 58 gallon? Will I need to cycle the tank again? Or can I fill it and add fish? I will be using a Fluval filter that has also been established.

Thanks for the welcome! I have notcied there are quite a few from Grande Prairie on here. Where do you guys buy your fish from here? We have desied to not deal with Petland anymore. We took out large Oscar and Tinfoil barb in so they could find a new home and they put the Tinfoil in with a large aggresive chiclid of some sort, can't remember and it kill the Tinfoil. They are uneducated kids and shouldn't be working there, or should be trained correctly.

Thanks for the info. We plan to put some Guppys, swordtail and tetras in there. What a good balance for salt?

Hey, what's up? Just joined the forum from Grande Prairie to find fish and info on fish. We have a 90 gallon tank with 15 mollies in it right now. They are just infants right now though. We want to stock it with community fish.
