  1. I want these lights for growing. I think that using LED's for growing, is still in its infacy stages. The cost is very high and I have not been able to locate anyone that has had any expereance with them. Think I am going to go with a four bulb t-5 fixture for now.
  2. I am looking for information on any type/brand of them. I don't know anyone using any of them. I am certain that the Solaris work well but they are very expensive right now. I have seen some less expensive ones on EBAY but not sure if they would work. I am looking at fitting my new 48"x24"x24" planted tank with them.
  3. I am considering using these lights for a planted aquarium. I dont know much about them and I dont know anyone who is using them. Is there anyone out there who is using them and what type of success are you having?
  4. Thanks for the input. Makes the decision easier. Canister it is. Next decision is EHEIM 2217 or FX5
  5. Your better to be safe rather than sorry. I would put a piece of plywood underneath it. If you don't have the materials or equipment to do it. A HOME DEPOT or RONA will be able to help you.

I am setting up a 120gl planted tank.(48"x24"x24"). I think I will be going with t-5 fixtures. Anyone have any suggestions reguarding what brand of fixtures and bulbs to use? I noted that Aquagiants are considerably less expensive than the others but I am not sure of the quality.
  7. I am setting up a 120gl planted tank. I have always used canister filters in the past. Should I continue using canister or go to a sump? If I go to a sump filter, will I have to use c02 ?
