  1. I refuse to purchase any fish from Big Al's. Every time I go there I am disgusted by the conditions of at least 5-10 tanks. I just picked up a Dwarf Puffer from Paradise Pets in St. Albert on Thursday. $4.00+gst. Though they have them tagged as Pea Puffers /shrug. My only concern with Paradise Pets is the Betta section. But I have the same problem with every LFS' betta section /shrug. http://www.dwarfpuffers.com/ If you want to read up a little on them. A The wife named her Chick Pea. She's the most impressive and entertaining fish that I currently have. And the bonus, Dwarf Puffers are 100% Fresh Water fish! But if you have your heart set on a Figure 8 Puffer. Paradise Pet's had 4 or 5 in stock on Thursday. I forget what the price of them is. As with all the fish (minus Betta's) they looked very healthy and active with minimum fin damage if any at all.
  2. I know it's an old topic, but I'm having the same issue right now. I have 3 creamsicle mollies and one dalmatian/creamsicle/pot bellied molly. I call her Ugly molly. She's so ugly, she's cute. When the wife picked her up from Paradise Pet's in St.Albert. Ugly Molly was pregnant. She gave birth and at last count we have 16 fry swimming around the bottom of the tank. They range from 1/4" - 1/2" in size right now and Ugly Molly is starting to get fat again. So soon we'll have more. I'm surprised that any of the fry survived. But my Red Tail Black Shark ignores them as do the Zebra Danios. I'm going to do my best to separate the males from the females, but that will take awhile. By then I'll be completely over run with molly fry. Does anyone know of a LFS in the Edmonton area that will purchase the fry for either coin or in store credit?
