Daphnia and the fairy shrimp are out...found me a schwack of the fairy shrimp yesterday...Way more than last year already!

It's that time of year again! Time to show off your tanks! Sign up with me, and I'll put you on the tour! At the end of the entire tour, we'll have a Potluck BBQ at the last stop (in the NW). The club will provide the Burgers...and the rest will be provided through potluck!
The tour is scheduled for June 9th!!

my L. curviceps finally decided to spawn...however two days after spawning dad attacked mom and chased her away from guarding the eggs...and the oil cats probably feasted on the eggs. Oh well...another time...maybe next month. lol In the mean time...Dad still looks good...though not sure it's completely captured in this so-so phone pic.

They've been selling kits like this for a really, really long time. It's a learning experience for most people...sometimes it sparks the interest in the hobby. I got my son a Triopps kit for his bday last week...should be interesting!

You don't need to cycle anything as you are using the same filter and substrate. .. right?
Do your water change. .. and carry on. It happens to the best of us. ;-)

You could do two smaller heaters that way if it happens again it won't have enough power to cook the fish.
As for the inline. ..I have no experience. :-(

Cate: Will they be ready for the CAOAC convention? Would be great to see them on everyone at CAOAC if they are. (ok, we both know I'm a coin flip to make it, but just sayin')
Good idea Dan. I'm planning on having the shirts delivered to everyone by the next CAS meeting, May 14th so that they'll be wearable for CAOAC!!! Ohhh yeeaaa. Shirts are $25.07 for sizes S to XL and an extra $2.50 (+gst) for sizes 1XL to 4XL.

Hey guys, thought I would chime in here (I am the owner of finnex.ca). Slowly getting more and more stock, please be patient, a few guys out in Calgary area had lights shipped out today though
