  1. hi, sorry for the slow reply. thanks for the comments. the trigger tank is 90gal. as for equipment im running, eheim 2080 canister, aquamedic turboflotor multi skimmer, 2 tunze nanostreams and a hagan glo HO t-5 actinic and power glo.
  2. hey, long time no post. thought i would share a couple of poor pics of new setup. also, a comparison of my nano. i moved and left it under someone else's care until i could move it to my new place. i have to assume that move had its own toll on the reef as well. anyway, here are the pics... trigger tank, nano, before... after... -paul
  3. i have one on my nc24. i love it!! i really have nothing bad to say about this light. just be carful...you can easily burn yourself on the fixture!! if you look through the marine pics section there are some pics of my nc24 progress. HTH -paul
  4. thanks for all the compliments...i still think mine looks very plain though. i guess you want what you dont have. im sure everyone elses tanks are equally nice..or even better looking than mine. thanks again, -paul
  5. i have a sixline wrasse, some blue knuckle hermits, purple coral banded shrimp, an anemone and soon i will have a pair of two spot gobies. -paul
  6. thought i would share an update pic of my tunze powered nano cube 24. my clams are also doing really well in this set up. its been real hard not to jam everything i see into my tank. but so far i have had no major problems with this setup...enjoy the shot! about 2 months ago... taken today... thanks for looking, -paul
  7. drilling holes is permenent. if you add spray bar pieces, you can remove them for future use. -paul
  8. if your are using a spraybar you can just add to the total length of it. this will weaken the flow. IMO if you close the valve a bit you might shorten the pump life. you can buy eheim sprybar pieces at picses. -paul
  9. hey, thanks for the comment. why are you going to wait?? just curious. -paul
  10. wendy, i got these guys from golds. i find they look much more colourful under my 14000k vs there 20000k bulbs. when i picked the blue one out it looked blue and white. i got it home and...well youve seen the pic....nice gold colour where i thought it was white. -paul
  11. well i picked my clams today. thought i would show a quick pic. here they are right out of the bag. enjoy! thanks, -paul
  12. tim, thanks for the input. i have alreadt totally changed the design. actually i am installing the last baffle as i type this. i will share pics whn im done. thanks, paul
  13. i fed my african tank 1mm. even the 11.5 venestus thrives on the 1mm. i agree with neil's reason for this post. -paul
  14. this mud will act as my main filtration. breaking down ammonia into nitrates and so forth. as for the baffle spacing. i have read that 1" is a good space. this will serve as a bubble trap. thanks, -paul
  15. well, i have made a very rough drawing using ms paint(please dont laugh at it). this will be a small 10-20 gal sump. can somebody please chime in and let me know if this is even a plausable design. any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. thanks in advance, -paul
