yes i did get some plecos from Harold as well they are settling in nicely... It was nice to meet a fellow fish athusist as well tonton hope your pleco is doing well

okay i posted about sexing bolivian rams and got some great help,i snapped some pictures they are the best of what i could get with what i have... the first i think is a female and the second i think is a male what are your thoughts

i have 2 synadontis this one and another one that is almost double the size, that one doesn't have any spots she's just brown and plump. but this one in the picture looks completely different.

the leaves are stripped, i have some horwort i don't really like the look of it thought.....i bought some Zuccinni today and ancored it to the bottom... how do u anchor your veggies down? i just put half of it under a log ornimante

id go to aquarium designs, i know the guy that owns the shop, and i use to work with the guy who works their.. if you go talk to brian drop the name sarah and he might give you a deal, dought it but its worth a try.. they do great work their if im ever able to do custom that is where i am going!!!

okay so i want to be able to do live plants but still have a variety of plants...someone in my tank has started to eat the plants that i have starting with the water westeria... i have java, sword plants, jungle veleria in my tank and these are my fish: 4 black skirt tetras 5 med angles 2 bolivian rams 2 kerbensis 2 synadontis 1 faraswells 1 biricr eel 1 black ghost knife to come L129 pleco and 2 tiger plecos (hopefully) i suspect its the farswella that is eatting the plants... can anyone suggest what some good plants to add some variety to my tank? or how to slow down the disappearing plants?

okay so ive managed to keep live plants in my tank....about a month ago i put in 2 healthy water westeria bundles in my tank and since then they had be stripped of all their leaves!!! all of my other plants are okay and are not bothered... is their some plants that fish like to eat more then others?

how do you sex bolivian rams?

my water is already extreamly hard (i use city water)... so how tolerent are silver tipped sharks (catfish) to fresh water?

how much salt can these fish handle: black ghost knife synadontis angels faraswella bichir eel paradise graumi and a afrcian butter fly fish? sorry for the spelling !!! not quiet awake... what i want to add to my tank is 3 silvertipped sharks (catfish) i know they are brackish can i make it work?

i was checking my tank last night like i always do and i noticed i was missing 2 fish, an angel and my gouramis.... well i found the gouramis she was hiding in one of the ordaments ( sorry for the poor spelling) which she never does..she will hid behind the heater which she has been doing more so lately. i've had her for over a year now maybe a year and a half... i was wondering if anyone can give some insite?

lol lets hope they dont!!! they dont have any white dots and their bubble nests are huge and the ventrals are very long.. but what are the chance that i would find them thru petsmart...lol

so i woke up this morning to having bubble nests in my females container!!!! so i'm now thinking that i got males without the long fins i was told these are called imbellis?

they are alot of work!!! but it feels like the next step in taking care of fish..it is very rewarding when you know that you have done everything right!!! i think the male is eatting the eggs.... once they do their betta tango and the eggs are falling to the bottom of the tank, he goes and grabs about 5-6 eggs but when he goes back up to the bubble nest it only looks like he's placing 1 or 2 eggs in the nest....how offten should i do my water changes in this tank... i'm worried about disturbing the nest!!!

well i don't know what happened but round 1 was a failure....their were eggs but by day 3 they were all gone and his bubble nest was broken appart...so i let him re-build and here we go...hopefully round 2 will be better!!!

well i got home today and theirs eggs!!!!! the female still has the white dot but she does look alittle skinnier :thumbs: so now i guess i wait!!!

okay so i put the female in last night....there was alot of chasing going on and then she hid..this morning she was checking the nest out and the male came over flared and she flared then he chased her some more....then she hid..checked out the nest but then when they were showing off to each other she attacked him....almost to say well what are you waiting for... then he chased her away again... is this normal...how long should i leave her in there if this persists...he's not doing any damage to her and she's still fat with eggs!!! wow i didn't realize how stressful and exciting this would be lol thanks for the patience
