  1. Oops, did you already have fish in there... -roll-
  2. The sunshine looks good, and big.
  3. Like the TR! and the C. Azureus! How big are they? they are amazing fish for sure.
  4. Yeah I think the male did it. coz males become MUCH more agressive towards other tankmates when spawning. That's probably why one gets beaten up while the other gets a mouth full.
  5. I know its not a good time to say but Im assuming the ruby red was not from BAs, was it? My saulosi were. well, it might only be coinstantaneous...I was just trying to figure things out... P.S., my saulosi had the exact same symptom: quit eating and bad poop

    Devastated

Thats sad. especially when there is no obvious reason. Still thinking what happed to my saulosi - they were totally fine one day and gone the next! 3 of them within a month!? its rough!
  7. Mbuna: P. Saulosi - just cant resist their awesome color and cute smiling faces...yeah their temper may be a little too much for haps to handle Hap: P. Taiwan Reef & C. Borleyi - its a tie as of now Peacock: A. Jacob Eureka Red hands down - with A. Ngara flametail and A. Handsbaenchi next
  8. Seems like all your fishes are breeding for you, nev. :smokey: that black tail tanker looks cool :ph43r:
  9. nice fishes. the 2nd fish, wormlines, his eyes are interesting, like a earth worm. Is that why he got of name of wormlines?
  10. bet we'll see some awesome looking babies How big is the Eureka Red? More pictures pls... Good looking Eureka is soooo hard to come by...
  11. Nice fish! BTW, what is the small fish below the TR? Looks like an Eureka Red or Jacob. Otter point, is there any sign of breeding?
  12. Thanks Nev I got 8 in total. It turned out to be 3m/5f (I thought they were 2m/6f, oh well...) Sad thing is that I only have 4 left now 1m/3f. :boxed: 2 males and 2 females left me without obvious reason. I have a 135g now and all other haps and peacocks are happy and health.
  13. Being looking around for Eureka red for a year with no luck. Anyone with a clue could clear the clouds? thanks a bunch!
  14. Hey nev!!! I shouldnt have left the auction after got those 10 labs, otherwise I should have meet you then because I was quite curious about who's gonna get those 3 bigger ones. Thank you for the link nev. Infact I have contact Kyle on his F1 labs earlier this year. The thing is at that time I only had a 29g and already had a few big boys in there. I figured it might not be a good idea to just put some little 0.5" labs in... Well, when I was just applying for a new tank, there came the auction...Dont get me wrong tho I like the auction, lots of fun, I enjoy being part of it. When was the next one? BTW, I do NOT think your Saulosi is gonna let you down, since you have put TOO much on them, and unless they mean to make you mad. :w00t:
  15. Thanks Degrassi for the compliment... That was me... :boxed: actually I got both bags of those 1.5" labs, for 45$ plus 20$ I was thinking then they were very young and hence might stand a better chance getting couple of good ones out of a total number of 10 ( well, 9 indeed since one already had a scar). Right now only 5 left in my 29G, and 4 of them show barrings most of the time . Their color is not perfect but not bad either. Funny thing is one of the smallest ones had some potential since he is the only one that never shows any barring since the very beginning, but again, we will see as time goes on... Now I am not sure if I still have that much of passion when I first started, since sometimes its too hard to predict what they are going to turn out. I had one at 2.8" he started to show some tiny black dot on the fins and sometimes around the mouth so I have to give him up. Now that after about 7 month I have got a little frustrited about keeping labs, its almost unpredictable to me. Meanwhile, Ps. Saulosi just came in at a good time, plus their blue striped charming males, I am thinking of switching to Saulosies now. Still, those small little yellow fishes (Labs, Deep msobo, Saulosi females) have been, and will always be, on top of my favorite list no matter what...
  16. Congrats nev your lab babies are so cute!
  17. Wow, what else, and wow... That explains perfect. Cant wait to see the whole thing set up. Nice job buddy! I am turning green... :ph43r:
  18. Very sweet! Keep those cool pics coming... I am all eyes :baby:
  19. Okey then, this might offically terminate one of my drem fish D. Comps. :boxed: The reason why I like them is b/c they have a totally different bodyshap than Peacocks and Mbunas, hence make a good contrast. Some says "fish keeping is just a matter of doing contrast, and let the fishes do the coloring". Will dig around and post for expert approving again :baby:
  20. Thanks Rob. I have yet to make another decision on the tank besides my stocking headache. Seems length is the problem now since there is only space for a 4 footer (5 ft space on each side the fire place, so a 5 footer might be too tight) Any suggestions and information on that are absolutely welcomed! Please do send a pic, thanks.
  21. Sorry to both you guys. When I say dunl, I mean degrassi. I really was all ears, but no brain at all...
  22. This is very encouraging dunl... So do you think I can get away with a trio of Dimidiochromis Compressiceps and a trio of Aul. Jacobfriebergi Eureka PLUS some reasonable behaved Mbunas? I am all ears... -07-
