  1. Now I switched them over into my vivarums, with the leaves out of water, and the roots submerged in nutrient rich tannin water (80-90% humidity). I currently have 3 species growing fine in the vivs, so hopefully they stop degrading. Still wanting suggestions badly though!
  2. I picked up a ton of anubias from the auction, and now the leaves are limp and turning into mush. I have never had any problem with anubias before, and I thought their care was relatively simple. I have them in a 15 gallon tank filled with tap water, a circulation pump, and a fluorescent light above. any advice would be helpful, as I dont want to loose 50$ worth of plant. I have an RO system, so if need be I can give them freashly filtered water. Didnt think they would need it though.
  3. I was the moss and anubias power buyer. I also made a commitment to myself to buy that awesome piece of manzanita driftwood at all costs...Got it for 40$ It'll be the centerpiece of my 150 gallon vivarium. I'll make sure to post a picture on this forum down the road for you guys, so people who got outbid by me can at least see the magic I will do with it. It's the PERFECT piece for my plans. Fun auction as usual. I'll make sure to be at the next one.
  4. Thanks, I sent Marine Aquaria an email, and I may stop by their store tonight. Surprised Ive never seen in considering a drive past it everyday... PM sent, and I also sent your website an email. I would highly recommend contacting RDFISHGUY on this forum before dealing with this store for an acrylic tank. I'm assuming he had a bad experience with this store. As far as I can tell, it is not the most reliable place to buy, thats why I'm looking elsewhere. Thanks everyone for your help. Keep the suggestions comming.
  5. My interests are specifically related to building vivaria, but seeing as a lot of you members have amazing aquariums, you may have leads for me. I am looking for a reliable custom aquarium shop that has the ability to fabricate acrylic tanks, or the ability to order from a supplier out of country. Here is what I am interested in purchasing. (the tank alone for sure, and the bass cabinet/canopy if cost permits) Pre-fabbed sizes are typically 4x2x2 feet, however if a shop can make custom tanks I'd probably go with 5x2x2. I’m located in Edmonton, however if there is a reputable shop in Calgary I would be inclined to purchase from them. I have already tried dealing with Edmonton based "aquarium designs" (who work specifically with acrylics), but I have over 10 unanswered calls, and non of my emails have been replied to, even though I’ve spent 2 hours talking with the owner in person. Thanks so much for any insight or leads!
  6. Still looking for more anubias nana petite. Thanks to fishclubgirl for her small plant contribution
  7. Yes it is the same Grimm actually haha. And I was looking for java moss...I kinda forgot it comes in different types of plants also. I may be interested in the narrow leaf, however doing a quick search on google it may be a little to big for my purpose. How big will they get when full grown?
  8. Hey all, as the title states I am looking for Anubias Nana "Petite", aswell as as much Java I can get my hands on. I am located in Edmonton and am willing to drive almost anywhere within reason for pickup. I realized they sell both of these at Big Al's, however I cannot justify paying 17$ for a plant the size of a toonie, or 5$ for a tiny clump of java. I dont come on here often, so my email is jgrimmier@gmail.com if anyone wants to contact me asap. Thanks everyone.
  9. Thanks a lot.....That is definately looking like a possibility. I'll keep my ears and eyes open for the next few days but if I still dont have any luck by the weekend we can figure something out.
  10. Hey all, my name is Justin Grimm and I am brand new to this site. I am currently a member of Edmonton's Reptile and Amphibian Forums and I was pointed in your guys' direction as I am in need of Riccia moss. I am currently in the middle of a Paludarium build and I plan to have a slow trickeling stream running across the tank covered in riccia. If anyone has any riccia moss for sale, or any information on where I can find some please let me know. I am located in Edmonton and am willing to drive anywhere in the city to pick some up. Thanks a mil!
