its a mature female dwarf puffer, i searched everywhere and could not find the SA Puffer, over half of the places i went to had no clue what that was and took me to the salt water section. I've decided to keep my 20 gallon and if things turn bad i'll turn it into a puffer tank because they are just too cute.

Well I decided to do a little trial and error this morning, I picked up a puffer and 4 pictus.... I watched them at the store for quite some time and picked out what I thought seemed the most docile. So far my puffer fish just plays with my bubble wall riding it up and down and my pictus stick to the left front side of the tank. every species pretty much avoids eachother at this point in time so here is hoping ! Also jack I use to have panda, peppered, copper and julii corys together and they schooled perfectly

I forgot to post i have 6 normal danios aswell but i used them to cycle both tanks and i dont think I want to keep any of my danios. he bullies the little danios too so im assuming if i was to keep him i'd need more giants ones not just normal ones or he is just a meany at heart lol

I have just finished cycling a 55 gallon long tank and I am looking to stock it up but need some advice regarding the fish i already own and the ones I want. I am switching 3 peppered cories, 2 glass catfish and one giant danio (whos seems to be a really big bully) from my 20 gallon((which im getting rid of)) to the new on but ive been wanting pictus catfish for a very long time. Some people tell me if i have enough tank pace that they can pick a territory and have enough plants that they are fine with other fish but others say there is no way they can live peacfully in a community tank no matter what the size. I also want some south american puffer fish since they are the only fresh water puffers who school together, arent agressive and very hardy. also I dont know if you can find south american puffers in edmonton does anybody know where i can get some. if not i'd love pea puffers but i have the exact same questions about them as i do the pictus. Any feeback would be really appreciated

Normal glass catfish are from south east Asia and the ones with the stripes are from Africa I am pretty sure. I have 2 with the stripes and they have 4 whiskers each then I have 3 normal ones who just have 2 whiskers.

Maybe ask Ray at sourceaquatics what it is worth. But I'd offer $75 - $100, that is what it is worth to me used. However the bio media which is not listed what kind, also plays a part in the price. Ask what it is, if it is just scrub pads from the dollar store or cut up foam pads then that media isn't worth much, but if it is good quality bio-balls and atleast 10 or 20 gallons worth them offer a little more. "Hi shannon, Oh I see, well it has the "plastic balls" type media, an the sheet filters, kinda like the plastic scour pads for dishes only they are in sheet form, how big a tank do u have to be using this sump? I also have the jet pump as well. I'm not really sure what to ask for a price, I suppose the tank is worth about 300 new, and the jet pump is about 225.00 new, as I don't need it anymore, how about 200.00 for both?.....u can call me if you wish, I'm at ********** Thanks Maurice "

So i recently just picked up a 90 gallon long fish tank and stand and am thinking about a DIY filter, does anyone have any opinions on the idea or personal experience they could tell me about. I found this video on you tube which was one of the nicer canisters filters built ... but I am still very unsure if its a good idea or better to spend the 300.00

Carpet surfing LOL XD My tank lid is on with out any gaps large enough for even a guppy to fit threw and I also havent found a corpse around the tank anywhere so I dont think thats it. I've only owned my pandas for 3-4 weeks so I dont understan why they would die so soon without a cause. and most of them died beofe i even got the snail (( apple snail was bought 3 days ago)) So i'm confussed if maybe something in the tanks agressive... I kind of think its my giant Danio, he has become a little more territorial in the last 2 weeks for some reason.

I have a 12 inch bubble bar across the bottom of the tank the makes a large bubble wall so I diont think thats my issue... add to that the fish are usually missing....

So I use to have 3 panda cories, 3 julie cories and 3 peppered cories.... all of my pandas have disappeared and 1 julie was found dead floating at the top of the tank. I dont know what is going on... all the other fish in my tank are said to be community fish. I have 1 black molly, 1dalmation molly, 1 giant danio, 2 fancy guppies, 1 apple snail, an african dwarf frog and therest of the cories. Anybody have any ideas whats going on? my cories are my favorites and i'd hate to lose anymore.

I bought 2 new cory catfish today bringing my total to 5 .... well 6 but when i got home today my julii died =( then at the store I noticed how pretty the pure black molly was swiming around, impulse buys are bad when it comes to fish I found because I brought him home looked up what it takes to keep him happy and well.... theyre agressive to some fish! So if I find he gets to agressive anybody want to swap him for a more peaceful fish that fits my tank a little better? One day I will have a predator tank but one step at a time
