  1. There must be 200 stems in the ammania bonsai jar, pretty cool. I will update you guys on how it goes from here!
  2. Here we go a few pictures: Some HC taken out of the jar: HC before opening: Ammania bonsai Enjoy!
  3. Well I got my plants and they look great. I have taken some pictures and when I figure out how to post them on here i will so you can see what they look like. Anyway i highly recommend them, the plants are great. Again, I will post pictures later tonight!
  4. Well I am back from Holiday's and I have placed my order, I will let you guys know what they are like and I will take pictures. The guy from Aqua flora says everyone is really happy with his product and has yet to have any complaints about it. I take that as a good sign, my plants should be in tomorrow, I will try to post tomorrow or Thursday with the pictures.
  5. I e-mailed them and they said they are working on a bunch of crypts, and some really rare ones (he didn't give me names) but he said that they should be available in the next few months. I really can't wait till he has an Echinodorus Aflame ready, he has me on his list for that one. Can't wait!
  6. Thanks guys for your comments. I will for sure let you know how it goes and take pictures. It will be few weeks though!
  7. Hey guys I am newby to the forum, so sorry if you have talked about this place already but does anyone have any experience with aquaflora nurseries? http://store.aquaflo...ll-species.html I think this is a link, I hope it works. Anyway I have been e-mailing the guys from there and it seems interesting! They grow the plants in a tissue culture and send them to you that way. The price seemed a little steep at first but it wasn't till the guy explained that every tissue culture is like 4 pots that i got the price, then it is pretty cheap. Anyway he said there was like 25 plants in a crypt tissue culture and for that rice that is really good I thought. They are in BC somewhere from my understanding, close to Vancouver so pick up isn't and option, LOL. Anyway I am going to try them, but I am going on holidays at the end of the week so it will have to wait till I get back. I will let you guys know my experience with it when i do it. If any of you have tried it let me know I would love to know your experience and I would love to know what this tissue culture thing is all about. I will take pictures when I get the plants as well if anyone is interested. Seems like they grow some plants that are a little harder to find, so that is cool. Now it is time to go to bed, that and the hockey game is over, all the Canadian teams are loosing their series, that isn't good. Least we won the gold metal. Poolboy
  8. With that much light I would add CO2 or Excel, perhaps you have to much light without CO2 that can cause Staghorn Algae! My advice, and I am not an expert, but I would add CO2 or take out one of the bulbs, or cover half the light with something to reduce your light level. Also small frequent water changes. They always help. Poolboy
  9. You let me know if you find one, please!
  10. The killies are very cool and let me tell you no picture I have seen on the internet have come even close to what they look like in a tank. THe blue really fades out with the flash of the bulb. It seems that the blue is almost flouresent when you see them live.
  11. Echinodorus Flame or Red Flame are different than the one I am looking for. It is call specifically Aflame, and it is blood red or deeper, and from my understanding is very very new to the market. Tropica doesn't carry them or grow them. They do grow red flame (which I have already) but this plant is much nicer, it is really really red, almost back it is so dark red. Very cool, and very uncommon.
  12. You need to get Amano shrimp (they love it) or Siamese Algae eaters (slowly dissapears with them). They also eat it. Also another sort of chemical option (it isn't really a chemical) is Excell by seachem. It is a carbon supliment for your plants and it kills BBA (Black bear algae) Poolboy
  13. Does anyone have this plant or know where i can get if from? I have seen pictures of it only and aparently it is hard to find. I e-mailed the guy in BC (aquaflora nurseries) and he said he has one and is working on propigating it, but doesn't have any for sale now. Anyone have any? If you do where did you get it from? I would love to know, I love something different and with it as dark red as it is supposed to be it coudl be a pretty cool show peice for an aquarium. If you guys have already covered this topic forgive me, I am new here. I seen a guy talking about it on the BC aquaria site and he can't seem to find it either. Poolboy
  14. Unfortunetly I have not picutes of my tank as my camera sucks the big one. The fish I am trying to breed are Scriptaphyosemion Guignardi a fairly newly discovered killiefish that I happened upon one day. They are very nice, with outstanding colors under the right light. The powder blue in the males is easily comparable to a saltwater fish. Very cool and very friendly, they even let me pet then sometimes. I like them a lot. I have a few babies but nothing worth mentioning right now. Poolboy
  15. Hey guys, I just wanted to say to everyone. I am a bit of a planted tank nut, and I often think far more about the plants in my tanks than I do about the fish. I have 3-4 tanks, I have a 90 planted, my main tank Compressed CO2, 500 watts of PC light, florabase soil. I have a 37 gallon, that has shrimp and some plants A 15 gallon with some fry And a 10 gallon with a pair of fish I am trying to breed. Anyway Hi guys Poolboy
