  1. I have heard so much about this place in the fact they are the best for cichlids in alberta! Which is good, I have never been there but I was just wanting to ask if anybody had any info on their selection of tang's there, I am just gettin sick of my malawi's they seem so aggressive compared to my tang's which are far more chilled out. I am heading there on sat! hopefully rumors are true!
  2. I have a around 30 peacocks that I belive are hybrids, the reason that I kept them was to see what they would look like in the future. They are around 1-1.75 inches with 2 dominant males that have amazing color. the only food they have ever eaten is new life spectrum, they are already breeding! I was just wondering is it rare to see such gorgeous colors in hybrid peacocks? I wish I could tell you what the parents were but they turned out to be the wrong type that I wanted, in a LFS the tank said "red shoulder" but the male turned out looking like a "sunshine" I will try to get a picture of these little guys and post it, thanks for the help.
  3. I know its not south american but I just wanted to know where I could find these,,,I bought 2 at a LFS about 5 months ago but one died a week after I bought it while the other vanished! I left for a week to work out of town and I came home and hunted for that little guy but know where to be found. I loved the character on these little terrors! they will take any fish at any size and not back down! it is amazing to watch really! this little guy took on my 5'' electric blue in stand offs every day and won! the electric blue was 3 times the size,,, antway I was just wondering the rarity on these little buggers. Thanks Dusi
  4. Ok so I have been in 3 days of fixing the cloudy eye, I noticed today looking in the hospital tank that the water looks more cloudy and his eye looks worse,,, I am not sure how to take this,,, I used the tablet treatment over the the fluid one due to the fact that I work out of town or am not sure when I am working and the tablet treatment seemed less work and tlc than the fluid. I guess I should keep going with it but the package says 5 day treatment/you should see results in 3 days but I am going on the 4th and it looks worse, Could it be that the cloudy eye is due to stress rather than a disease form?
  5. I have a glass canopy and some pellets were sitting on top while the fish jumped at them as if he could eat them,,, I thought that was rather funny but maybe his vision is a little off.
  6. Thanks HOSStile I guess it could be........but I have perfect PH and no signs of nitrates of ammonia.... I just did a 35 gallon water change maybe that might help?
  7. I noticed that one of my fish has one eye that is a cloudy blueish color, I didnt really notice in the tank he was in before because the lighting was darker. I can not tell if it is getting worse or if it is just bugging me over time. A few months back I almost lost him due to a ammonia/nitrate spike in my aquarium, I had a filter "crap out" on me and I had to leave town for a week so I place a new filter on which caused the spike, could that be why he has a screwed up eye? Or is there something wrong? I heard that ammonia poisoning can cause brain trauma along with other long term affects.... Thanks, mulakka
  8. I bought some NLS from RD. That stuff is amazing,,, I am not sure if I ever followed up with you in how it was working, But like I said the stuff is killer. It didnt take long for my fish to color up to 100% I have also noticed with my fry showing alot better color at a younger age, I am not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me but they look great.
  9. Yea I even tried to upload those photos on wbeshots and it wouldnt work,,,there must be something wrong with the files.
  10. I am sorry that you cannont get the picture up and running, I am new to this site and maybe I am not doing the right thing,,, but my rock work is alot higher than the one in the pic that you have posted with many caves to hide in. that crimson is just controling all of the caves at the moment :grr:
  11. Yea I thought about letting the fish ladder establish before placing him in there, then when he shows up he will be on the bottom rung,, however when I introduced him to the tank the elongotus was picking on him alot. but by the morning the elongotus had bites and cuts all over his gills so the tables turned by morning. maybe I will take him out. Thanks

"Crimson Tide" That is a complete terror in my 90 gallon, I thought that 90 gallons would be plenty of room but that little terror just attacks everyone! Any advice would help thanks. Mulakka
