  1. Well bro :)

If you need anything welded just let me know....

My 300 is 3/4 glass and its 30" high. 8x2x30" If you were going any wider I would say 24" is maximum height. Also euro braces..... As long as you have the know how to seal it and silicone it I dont see why it wouldnt work all glass. But is it tempered? What are the sheet dimentions? And how are you going to cut it? 3/4" is a bugger to cut in a home garadge with hand tools....

If you get cheap glass theres no reason why not..... And Ill have the bits to drill it (as long as its not tempered) in a few days as I have to do my 180's for the rack.....

Also there is a tank builder that may be coming to town from calgary in march to build a monster in my friends house if all goes well... But he dosent work for beer like me.....

  2. The only reason I brought up beefheart in the first place is that it is still commonly used in asia and lots of Gro Outs around the world due to remarkable size growth when its fed to catfish IE Paroon sharks..... Much like discus ect ect. Its still all over google and this is the first I have actually heard of it causing a negative with this type of fish..... Dont get me wrong..... I would never feed it to an arowana because it increases the risk of dropeye or abnormal body shape with such quick growth rates.... I never put much thought into it after that. But after being corrected I have taken it out of all my catfish/gar/gourami feeding routine just as a precaution.

It is going to be a battle getting them to take NLS and I cant find any bulk massivore anywhere but this is all for the fish anyways........Right?

  3. Ive heard of a local car stereo shop that will do alarms and full stereo installs...... Then go to the address left on the invoice at 2am and just take it back....

Its a crappy deal about the tank..... theres 2 or 3 120's on kijijji now?

    Hope you find it.

That sucks. I tell u A SHORT story that may be relevant. back in late 90's I ordered a hks exhaust system for my car. this was a extremley good exhaust system and expensive. long story short after they installed it at their place and i went home. That night as i found out later, they came to my house and stole it right back off my car. haha maybe thats the case?>

  4. are there alot of welders on this site? lol

I was gonna offer services but....Gotta love Oil Country

Sounds good , I would love to have one built in to a wall but then something would have to go.....and I don't mean the wife.....I mean something else ...like my theatre......Being a welder I am sure you can build a super stand that will be both strong and functional. I have a couple welder firnds on retainer.....nice benefit. Post pictures when you are done......

  5. Big tanks like that are always fun :) If you get a sump system make sure you have a lid for that aswell. You may get a bit more moisture but a great filter for such a tank. Also you can run a bathroom fan on a timer or sensor in the small space (cheap and effective)

Also did you want the front glass flush? I have seen a few tank designs now that have a 4 inch lip in the front so you can fit the stand behind and Ontop of the studs and headder and have the glass flush with the drywall, Then its just a frame around the tank on the drywall side and its done on that side :)

  6. Well the next time I keep em Ill have to try that.... My tig, tiger shovelnose and redtail cat wont touch NLS at all.... And it makes such a mess in the filter I try to feed it sparingly for just the fish that will actually eat it.

Never seen 2 gents turn there nose up at beefheart like that before lol..... You guys have a bad experience or are you vegetrian or what? Its been recommended to me since forever.....and thus far i havent had a problem adding it to anyones diet? But if theres a reason..... Ill gladly pull it from my regieme

  7. J When your ready for a young aro you just let me know brother..... Jardini, black, even asian i can get a good deal on from time to time

I had a friend that did a tour of all the shops in calgary and I just called ahead getting things on hold :) The Indo dat came from golds.

Phoenix thanks for all the help wish i could have made it down there too.

  8. This to me would also make the most sense. I haven't had the chance to play around with any chloramine problems so others will probably be more knowledgable. The only other thing you could look at is there are a certain type of fliter blocks when used with my one housing the water seems to bypass the filter which I solved by adding in another gasket at the top of the block. I had chlorine issues for awhile when this was happening.

I have tested the water coming out of the drip and it tests perfectly clear for chlorine and chlorimines.... Im sure the filters are seated well and the gaskets are pretty thick on this system.

Its really odd as even the .05 ammonia isnt terrible for the hardy fish i keep and its fully cycled with ALOT of bio media so Im sure it can catch up..... But every time i run it a few days the fish look stressed, fins start to clamp, diet starts to dwindle ect. I can do the exact same amount of water change with my 5 gallon pails and a pinch of prime and everybody is just fine.....

I dont suppose anyone can point me towards a video or walkthrough on the doser setup?
