Wow came home this morning slept woke up 1230 fed fish come back 1hr later and my male is dead belly up fins erect colors bright eyes clear .Old age ? You need at least a 4ft tank with some current and lots of live plants and sand bottom.

2 lammps would work or one if you grow low lite plants 6500k cheap at lowes.Daylite deluxe.

Yeah Lamps can be very deceiving cause the K rating is not given from an underwater point of view and watts per gallon doesn't really work halogen would be extremely hot you sure what kind of lamp it is.

If anyone knows of some sales on T8 lamps let me know last year happened to hit one at Big Als but haven't seen any yet this year.

I would say tropheus need to be in a school by themselves of at least 8-10.Your other fish are to aggressive for it.How long did you have him?
