So I saw a youtube video on peat balls from England Tyne Aquatics looks reallly good cause balls last alooooong time. There is a major peat bog west of Edmonton that is sourced by a distibuter but wondering has anyone ever tried theses or tried getting the real black mucky peat anywhere which is full of tannins and lowers ph?
So I tested my freshwater tank looks like 10 but fish are okay my main barrel storage is also 10 thought it would be lower should I lower it how and how much .I also dont use a dechlorinator for about 5 years .False alarm ph is 8 still, I would prefer 7-6.
Has anyone tried reverse undergravel sand filters where the powerhead inlet is filered with a big sheet of black sponge. It would seem to be ideal and have huge capacity
