  2. Woke up this morning to see two of the little guys swimming about the Breeder Net, Still have another 7 left to hatch. I wish i could have saved more of the eggs but the Corydoras decided to place their eggs about while I was at work, So I was only able to move a few of the surviving eggs into the net. Gestation period 5-6 days, The few that are left to hatch were placed about the tank a day after these currently hatched ones were placed. This is my second successful hatching and im looking forward to them growing out so they can be placed into my new 10 gallon and 20 gallon long guppy tanks. Most likely they are babies of my Peppered Cory's.
  3. Any photo updates? are you still running the lines?
  4. I'm not entirely sure about other options, but I am going to be ordering from Port Dover, Ontario within the next month. So I'll be paying attention to this thread to see what others may suggest. BTW I hate the new international Import Laws, Tariff's and permitting. So thats a whole other headache if I wanna order from outside of Canada,
  5. Hi all, thought I would show you a video of my community tank. For fish there is : Fancy Guppy aka Poecilia reticulata Neon Tetra aka Paracheirodon innesi Glowlight Tetra aka Hemigrammus erythrozonus Ember Tetra aka Hyphessobrycon amandae Green Neon Rasbora aka Microdevario kubotai Peppered Corydora aka Corydoras paleatus Julii Corydora aka Corydoras julii Harlequin Rasbora aka Rasbora heteromorpha If you have any questions I would love to answer them, suggestions would be nice as well. So far the only things I dont like about this set up are : The Peppered Cory's are the largest fish in the tank, They have gotten a little to big for my liking, may replace them with more Julii's or another smaller Cory. The Green Neon Rasbora I like for their coloring, but they are a current swimmer, they love the top of the tank and chase any fish that comes into their comfort area, which happen to be the Younger Guppies in this tank. By far, the most aggressive fish of the tank.. Thanks for looking
  6. I picked up some great substrate from Aquarium Central in Edmonton, works good for my plants and corydora's. you can see a vid of it here http://youtu.be/9afzKxOR8jA Not sure if thats what your looking for, but I like it.
  7. I enjoy the Flame Tetras they are small and as good schoolers as the neon's and Rasbora
  8. A tank i was running back then, my orange lines.
  9. Hi, A little about myself, Im 34, and have been keeping fish on and off through the years since I was 7 living in the Northwest Territories. I was born in Edmonton, and moved back here approx seven years ago. I've done many different types of Freshwater and planted tanks. Have bred a few different types of fish. But its a love story that will never end. Currently I have 1 40g tank running. Neon, and glowlite tetra's, Rasbora, Peppered Cory Cats, and a crap load of guppy fry that I am growing out, to see what my options are in breeding the lines out. Im also picking up another tank tonight or tomorrow to start another planted tank. When I left the Northwest Territories I sold all 470 of my fish and now im back at the beginning again. Hopefully I can find some good breeding lines and kick this hobby back into full gear. Anyways, hope to get to know you all better in time. Thanks for having me.
